Tea Time ~ Spelling Tests and Newspaper Articles ~ 9/8/17

Grab a cup of tea, coffee, hot chocolate or your favorite drink
while I share a few things that made me smile this week :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~Laken got a 100% on her very first Spelling Test as a 5th Grader!  She was also moved up a grade in reading!  Go, Laken :)
~Kaylee was featured in our local newspaper for being a returning letter-woman in Tennis!  She also had a match last night and was in the #1 position again :)  Go, Kaylee :)
~Uncle Charlie got home from the hospital!  If you've been following along, you know that my Uncle Charlie was in a motorcycle accident almost 2 weeks ago.  He finally got home on Monday.  He's still recovering but he is so glad to see something other than the four walls of the hospital room :)
~Saturday we went out for breakfast!  I love  breakfast food.  We didn't have much going on that day so we went to a little diner in LaVale called the Filling Station.  It has the best food.  Especially breakfast.  I got a ham and cheese omelet with toast and home fries.  Delicious :)
~The Steelers first regular season game is Sunday!  I'm so excited!  Love me some football in the Fall :)
Please leave a comment with a link so I can return the visit!
  2. Good news about your uncle. I see you live near Pittsburgh, I visited there in the 70's (before you were born no doubt) as my great aunts lived there, it was my first trip to the States, I'll never forget it.
    oh my....if i ate all that breakfast food at once i would want to take a nap afterward!! I do love omelettes though I am cutting way back and going more plant based for meals.
    I am def not a football fan but I did go to a Pirates game the last time we were in Pittsburgh! of course we are Red Sox fans but my aunt and uncle lived in pittsburgh for many years so we helped cheer on their team, 😜
    This week was the first week in school for my kids and their first time in public school - they went forward with smiles and confidence which made me smile as well. Have a blessed week! Naomi (www.christianresourceministry.com)
  9. Congrats to Kaylee and Laken. It is a testament to the hard work they've given to these areas. How wonderfully their year is starting.
    Such happy news about your uncle. My daughter rides a motorcycle and sometimes I get fearful for her safety.
    I am a fan of breakfast food, too. How nice you all got to enjoy time together eating at a good restaurant.
    Have a great week.
  13. I'm glad to hear your Uncle is doing better. And that's so excited that your daughter got a 100% on her spelling test. I was the kind of dork kid who LOVED taking spelling tests.
