Thankful Thursday ~ 7/25/19

~Dan made it home safely!  My brother's trip to Italy went well and he is now safely home :)

~Brunch with the Bride!  My cousin is getting married on September 7th.  Saturday morning we celebrated his bride, Rachel, with a "Brunch with the Bride".  I thought it was a super-cute idea.  The Maid of Honor did a wonderful job putting it together and we had a great time showering Rachel with love and gifts :)

~Kaylee Passed Her Driver's Test!  Kaylee is now a licensed driver.  I was so nervous while we were waiting her turn and she was worse than me!  When her turn came, she didn't even know which door to open she was so flustered.  hehe  She did a wonderful job and she passed on the very first try.  So proud of her!  Now she'll be able to drive to college come August 19th :)

~8/10!  I've read 8/10 of my goal for my "10 Books of Summer" challenge.  Only 2 more to go and I'll have completed the challenge!  This is big for me as I have a hard time actually completing challenges that I sign up for.

WW - Third times a Charm!  I decided to give WW (weight watchers) one more try and signed up for a promotion that gives me 2 free months if I commit to 6 months on the program.  I need the commitment to stay the course.  Stay tuned for updates :)

Thankful Thursday ~ 7/11/19

~Hubby's vacation week!  Last week was all about family time.  The number of summer vacation we get to spend with our girls is dwindling as they grow up and that makes me a bit sad but we had a great week :)

~Lake Tobias!  Lake Tobias is a wildlife park in Halifax, PA.  I had never heard of it before Laken went on a field trip to there this past school year.  We made the 3 hour drive to Lake Tobias Wildlife Park so Laken could be our tour guide.  We even went on a safari where the animal came right up to the safari vehicle.  It was amazing to see all the animals and so close :)

~The Meg!  One evening we rented a movie from the Redbox and had a Family Movie night complete with Twizzlers :)  The Meg was a great movie but don't watch it if you already have a fear of sharks!  :)

~Ice Cream!  Of course we hit up our favorite ice cream spot a few times while on vacation.  Sundae's has THE BEST peanut butter sundae I've ever had.  Yummm…  The flavor of the week was Black Raspberry.  It switched over to Cotton Candy on Monday.  Laken is pleading for another ice cream trip as Cotton Candy is her FAVORITE :)

~Camping!  We went tent camping for 3 days and 2 nights at Shawnee State Park here in PA.  We set up two tents and 4 air mattresses in 1.5 hours flat!  It was a good thing we were so quick about it because a rain shower came not long after the last tent peg was pounded into the ground.  We had so much fun camping.  It was a nice relaxing time of fishing, reading, hiking and sitting around the campfire.  I can't wait to go again :)

Thankful Thursday ~ 6/27/19

~Kaylee's Party was a success!  I tried not to stress myself out getting ready for Kaylee's 18th Birthday Party.  I made list upon list and managed to keep it organized.  I worried for nothing, because it went off without a hitch!  We had a great afternoon hanging out with family and friends :)

~Church Camp was a success!  Again, a lot of preparation went into the behind the scenes set up of our Church Camp Meeting.  I helped with baking pies, cooking meals and the concession stand.  Others had their own jobs to complete.  We all came together and worked hard so that the campers could have a great time  :)

~Laken has decided to hang up her pompoms! She really wants to play Jr. High Volleyball this Fall and doing v-ball and cheerleading would just be too much along with her school work.  I'm already going to be busy running her back and forth to v-ball practices and games and I don't think I could keep up with cheerleading as well.  Quality over quantity, they say :)

~Kaylee's College Orientation! Monday Kaylee had a orientation for the students that have been admitted to her college.  She will be studying Business Management and classes start on August 19th.  I think it is getting real for her now and she's getting excited for the next chapter of her life!  I'm trying to play it cool :)

~Hubby's Vacation!  I'm excited that the Hubby is on vacation starting Friday morning!  We have some good quality family time planned.  Some of the activities are fishing, camping, movies and baseball games.  I can't wait  :)

Thankful Thursday ~ 6/13/19

~Kaylee's 18th Birthday!  I absolutely cannot believe that I have a child who is turning 18 years old today.  I'm not old enough, am I?  I mean, I distinctly remember turning 18 myself just a few years ago!  Happy Birthday, Baby Girl!

~School is out!  Laken successfully navigated her first year of middle school at a new school with all A's and B's.  So proud of her!  I get just as excited as the kids do when the end of the school year rolls around.  Time for sleeping in and hanging out with the family!

~Laken's last softball game!  We've enjoyed softball season but I have to admit that I'm kinda glad that her last game of the year is tonight.  It just happens to be a double-header!

~Church Camp Meeting!  It starts off Sunday with a picnic and then lasts all week.  The kids all get to stay in the dorms so it will be a bit quiet at home.  I am a bit jealous of the campfires and smores...

~Kaylee's College Classes!  She's registered and scheduled for classes that will start August 19th!  We been jumping through all the necessary hoops for registration and funding but at last, I think everything is ready for Orientation!  whohooo!

Friday's (again on Saturday) Fave 5 ~ 5/17/19

https://susannesspace.blogspot.com/

~Saturday at home.  It has been a crazy few weeks!  It feels good to have a Saturday with nothing much going on.  I have one load of laundry in the dryer and other than that I'm just hanging out with the family today :)

~Mother's Day.  It poured down the rain on Mother's Day but we still had a nice day.  I got a new umbrella for my patio table in my favorite teal color to match my painted chairs and swing.  We had a Mother's Day Banquet Tuesday night at Church and the cake was beautiful and oh so delicious.  We're hoping that Laken will get enough practice decorating cakes that she'll be able to make our cake next year :)

~Hummingbirds.  We always get a little gift at the Mother's Day Banquet.  This year we all got a little hummingbird feeder!  We already have some hummingbirds coming around.  It is either a few different hummingbirds or the same one flittering back and forth.  I'm not quite sure.  Either way, I love sitting on the porch watching him (them?)

~3 Softball Games.  Laken had 3 softball games this week.  Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  The team has improved so much but have only managed to win 1 game so far.  Last night we stopped for ice-cream after the game at a new ice-cream place as the game was away.  I got a peanut butter sundae and it was delicious and huge.  I should have gotten the small...

~Kaylee's Wisdom Teeth.  Kaylee got all four wisdom teeth out on Thursday morning.  She has been in pain but taking it like a trooper.  We're making sure to keep the meds going and she has spent the majority of the time on the couch per doctor's orders.  This is the third day which the dr said would probably be the worst so prayers would be appreciated!

Friday's (or Saturday's) Fave 5 ~ 5/11/19

https://susannesspace.blogspot.com/

~Monday, Kona our chocolate lab went into the vet's to get spayed.  Everything went well and she was home by 5pm.  She's still healing but doing great.  We only put the "cone of shame" on her when we leave the house.  Other than that someone is usually close by to make sure she isn't bothering her incision.  Check one off the list!

~Cheer!  Monday also kicked off the start of cheer practice for the Fall.  I know, THE FALL!  Laken is very excited about moving on to 7th grade and being able to play Jr. High Sports. ~ (Yes, we consider cheer a sport :)  They are practicing Monday and Wednesday during the month of May and then one day a week for a few hours during the Summer break.  I love seeing the kids do the things they love :)

~Driving Miss Kaylee.  Kaylee has been driving pretty much everywhere lately.  She's learning small town driving and also driving in more congested areas.  I'm very proud at how well she's doing even though it does make her a bit nervous.  She drove during a rain storm a few days ago and almost pulled over to let her dad drive.  However, she prevailed as the rain lightened up and she drove all the way to the destination!

~Spring Concerts!  Both Kaylee and Laken had their Spring Band Concerts this week.  On the same night!  Ugh.  What to do????  As a family, we decided that my parents would go to Kaylee's concert and the Hubby and I went to Laken's concert.  I enjoyed Laken's concert very much but missed seeing Kaylee play as well.

~Etsy!  I posted a while ago that I was re-opening my Etsy shop, Colletta's Kitchen Sink . I've been crocheting as I sit on the deck, watch Pirates games and sit in the parking lot during Softball Practices.  I've gotten some kitchen items listed as well as some aprons and baby blankets.  I'd love for you to stop by and check out what I've done so far!

Thankful Thursday ~ 2/21/19

~Valentine's Day goodies from the hubby!  The hubby and I had our Valentine's Date the Saturday before Valentine's Day but first thing Valentine's Day morning he gave me a card and Reese Cups :)  He knows the way to my heart :)

~Cupcakes and Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars!  Laken has been baking up a storm lately.  On Valentine's Day, after she got home from school, she baked Strawberry Cupcakes and decorated them for us.  Monday evening, she baked Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars.  She wants to make cupcakes again Friday evening.  In case you haven't guessed she wants to own a bakery when she grows up.  Either that or be a meteorologist :)

~My Gym Buddy!  Never in a million years would I have dreamed that my gym buddy would be my very own DAUGHTER!  How can I be old enough to have a daughter who is almost 18 years old?  I was just 18 years old yesterday, wasn't I?  Anyway, Kaylee and I have been hitting the gym (Planet Fitness) 3 times a week on our days "off".  She is kicking my butt :)

~The hubby's new haircut!  The hubby has the thickest head of hair I've ever seen on a man.  I was "long" overdue for a buzz but we just didn't have the opportunity or take the time.  Finally, after I told it was starting to look like Darth Vader's helmet, he made it a point to get the buzzers out for me and put the chair in the bathroom.  I buzzed it with a No.2 guard and then took the guard off to trim the nape.  He forgot the guard was off and tried to clean up a few stray hairs!  Needless to say, his whole head had to be gone over without a guard.  It is SUPER short!  P.S. Don't tell him I posted a picture of him napping with his blankie :)

~Snow days and Thundersnow!  Thursday school was cancelled due to the weather.  Not only did it snow and sleet, we had Thundersnow!  It was a bit startling!  The kids had fun hanging out in the Family Room ripping and running :)

Thankful Thursday ~ 2/14/19

~Happy Valentine's Day!  I mentioned in yesterday's Wednesday Medley that the hubby and I already had our Valentine's date this past Saturday.  Nobody was going to be home with Laken so we let her tag along.  The question I posed yesterday:  "Does the hubby still owe me a one-on-one Valentine Date?"  :)

~Save the Date!  We received a "Save the Date" card from my cousin and his fiancé.  Brian and Rachel will be getting married on September 7th at our Church.  Brian was born when I was 15 years old and was my little baby.  I toted him around everywhere.  He holds a special place in my heart and Rachel is such a sweet girl.  I can't wait to attend the wedding :)

~Softball sign-ups!  Laken decided that she wants to play softball.  She had played t-ball when she was just a little bitty but didn't really enjoy playing with the boys!  lol  Now she is older and has made lots of new friends in her new school who are playing (girls only) softball this year.  We signed her up and now her daddy is excitedly looking at spikes and bats and gloves.  It gives us all something to look forward to after this nasty winter :)

~College acceptance letter!  Kaylee received her college acceptance letter in the mail a few days ago with tons of information about what she needs to do before actually starting classes.  I think she is getting excited about getting back into school mode :)

~The Book Fair!  Laken's school had a Book Fair and as you know I'm a book lover.  Family night was Tuesdsay.  The hubby and I have made it a tradition to go with the girls to their Book Fairs and monitor what they buy and therefore read.  This time Laken got the book "A Dog's Way Home" and a book about the actual dog that plays in the movie.  I love Book Fairs :)

Thankful Thursday ~ 1/24/19

~I promised a picture of my painting from Kaylee!  I asked for beach and blues.  She delivered.  It is now hanging in my bedroom where I can see it when I wake up in the morning :)

~I'm ahead on my Goodreads Challenge!  By 1 book...but hey!  I'll take it :)  Only 49 left to go this year :)

~Kona was playing hard-to-get in the picture department!  I wanted an updated picture of her but all I kept getting was either her eyeball or her butt!  When I got this one, I figured it was all good :)

~Blueberry muffins!  A king lady from Church gave us a bunch of frozen blueberries.  What do you make with blueberries?  Muffins!  They were delicious :)

~The temperature hit 42F!  That might not seem very warm but after the 0F temps we had just 2 days ago it feels quite balmy!  I would have went outside for a walk but the ice is still everywhere.  Come on, sun.  Melt it away :)

Thankful Thursday ~ 1/17/19

~I'm not feeling very well today and am not feeling very thankful :(  My fibromyalgia is flaring and I'm sore.  However, I "am" feeling so for that I can be thankful!

~One of the reasons I'm not feeling very well is that I exercised yesterday and I'm feeling it today!  I'm glad that I was feeling well enough to walk 1 mile with my Leslie Sansone DVD :)  It felt good at the time.  HAHA

~Kaylee finished my painting!  It is a beach scene with my very favorite teals and blues and aquas.  I'll get a picture posted soon.  She did such a good job on it.  I love it!

~The hubby and I help with the Church Youth Group and we're planning a bowling night!  I haven't been bowling in years but am excited about going.  Right now we're in the "gathering info" stage but I'll be sure to let you know when we go :)

~As I've mentioned before, Kaylee has her driver's permit and we've been practicing her driving skills.   (Hard to do in the middle of winter!)  Last Friday, I had to go to Wal-mart which is about 30 minutes away to pick up a few things and Kaylee drove me there.  This was a big deal because she had to drive though "city-ish" traffic.  Her first time ever!  I was more than a little bit nervous but she handled herself and the car well.  I was so proud :)

Thankful Thursday ~ 1/10/19

~I finished my first book of 2019, "Amelia and the Captain"!  It was a bit silly but enjoyable :)

~I'm up-do-date on all three CAL's (crochet-a-longs) I'm participating in.  There will be 2 in the beginning of the month:  BAMCAL 2019; 1 a week:  BAWCAL 2019; and 2 a month for the Moogly CAL.  So far, so good :)

~The hubby and I are starting to think about vacation for this year!  We want to take a couple long weekend trips and are still debating on a full week vacation.  We haven't pinned down anywhere specific except to visit the hubby's family in York, PA.  I'm excited :)

~We're having Revival Services at Church with Buck Ryan who used to be our preacher.  Of course, Sunday morning was a big crowd and we had a nice crowd on Sunday night.  The services were through last night.  It has been nice catching up with Buck and his wife, Sandy :)

~Today is my Uncle Charlie's birthday!  Happy Birthday, Uncle Charlie :)

Thankful Thursday ~ 1/3/19

~"singing"  The kids went back to school today!  I love having them home but by the end of break, I'm ready for some normalcy.  Laken and Dex weren't thrilled with getting put early (neither was I) but it had to be done :)

~The hubby went back to work yesterday.  I was off almost 2 weeks and we got so much accomplished!  He built two closets in our bedroom, one for each of us, and rearranged the Family Room.  We organized bins and dressers and I love it!  The Family Room seems so much bigger with the way we have the couches/chair situated :)

~We spent New Year's Eve at home playing games and watching movies.  We were supposed to go to my brother's house for shrimp but he got sick :(  So, Plan B came about.  I ended up taking a nap at 9pm and then getting back up at 11:30pm to finish out the year.  The hubby set off fireworks and we watched the ball drop before heading back to bed.  Oh, and I got my New Year's kiss :)

~New Year's Day was pretty laid back.  We slept in, of course!  Then we went just up the road to my aunt and uncle's house for lunch.  We had the traditional pork and sauerkraut to start the new year off right :)  After that we came back home and hung out.  The hubby and girls played PlayStation and I started reading my First Book of 2019.

~Finally, I'm so excited to once again endeavor to read the Bible from beginning to end this year.  I'll be reading The One Year Chronological Bible in the New Living Translation along with Wendy Pope and the other Read Thru the Word participants.  You can read more about this program at www.wendypope.org .  I hope to stay on track this year :)

Thankful Thursday ~ 12/27/18

~Last Thursday was Kaylee's turn to have her Christmas Concert.  She joined the Community Band after graduating high school last spring.  It was so much fun to hear her play the song "Let It Go".  She HATES that song!  lol :)

~Sunday evening after Church, we went Christmas Caroling.  It was threatening to rain but we went out anyway.  It was surprising how many people DIDN'T open the door to hear us sing :(  But so many did and one house even offered us a tray of cookies :)  Wasn't that sweet!?!

~We spent Christmas Eve at my Aunt Donna's with the extended family.  It was so much fun!  The younger kids all got to open their presents from us so that we could watch.  The ladies in the family also do a jingle exchange.   Bring a gift, get a gift.  I got a candle, neck massager and aloe infused fluffy socks.  We had dinner and then had good quality time with family :)

~Christmas was wonderful!  I, as usual, couldn't sleep and woke everyone up at 5 am!  lol  I'm like a kid and was too excited to wait any longer to begin the festivities!  After presents were opened, I took a nap before the cooking began :)

~The girls each got a Ukulele  and spent all day on youtube watching videos to learn how to play.  At one point they were both in Kaylee's room learning chords together.  It made my heart happy to see them doing something together.  It didn't last long though before they started arguing!  lol

I could go on and on about Christmas but I'll stick to five :)  I'm looking forward to the New Year!

Thankful Thursday ~ 12/20/18

~Laken had her Christmas Band Concert last Thursday evening.  It was her very first concert performance and she was a bit nervous!  She started playing the flute last year (lessons only) but this was the first year she was able to be in Concert Band.  We got her all gussied up and she did great!  I love going to Christmas Concerts.  It makes my Christmas so much jollier :)

~I actually took the time to paint my fingernails!  I used to get manicures at a salon but gave that up due to the cost.  Now, I usually keep my fingernails cut short but they have gotten a little bit of length to them recently.  I really wanted to paint them a nice, Christmassy red but only have summer colors  :(  I finally picked out a pale pink from my collection and gave them a few coats :)

~I've been "off" for quite a few weeks, as my cousin Steph had broken her collar bone and was off work.  Monday was her first day back to work, so I'm back on duty.  I get Dex ready for school and he gets on the bus with Laken.  Damon gets to hang out with me and Kaylee for the day on M-W-F.  He is such a ham :)

~I rejoined Sparkpeople.com to track my food and exercise.  It is a lot like WW online but FREE!

~My Mom, Laken, Kaylee and I have started making cookies and fudge for Christmas.  So far we've started with Sugar Cookie cut-outs.  Today we're making Chocolate Chip Cookies and "Almond Joy Cookies" (a recipe I found on Facebook).  We're also making Nut Horns, M&M Cookies, Chocolate Fudge and Peanut Butter Fudge.  :)

Thankful Thursday ~ 12/13/18

~We went to a new-to-us Christmas Tree Farm on Saturday.  We had a great time!  There was a gift shop by the parking lot but to get to the trees we got to take a wagon ride up on the hill.  There were rows and rows and hills and hills of Christmas trees to pick from.  To make it even more festive, the temperature was only around 25F.  But...there were blankets on the wagon to snuggle under :)

~The girls got some Blue-Raspberry Kettle Corn at the Christmas Tree Farm.  It was yummy :)  Luckily, they got two bags of it so we could all share :)

~As if we hadn't been out in the cold enough Saturday, that evening was our little town's Christmas parade.  Kaylee is in the Community Band so we stood outside and waited and waited and waited for the parade.  Finally, it started and we got to see the band and the Santa float.  But it was freezing!!!!

~Later that night while trying to get warmed up, the hubby and I watched my very favorite Christmas movie, "White Christmas"!  After I warmed up a bit I decided to work on the Christmas gift I'm making while we finished the movie.  It was a wonderful day :)

~I finally had a day where I was able to check off all 5 items on my "5 to Thrive" checklist!  I actually got a workout in and was able to mark that off the list :)

Thankful Thursday ~ 12/6/18

~It is DECEMBER!!!  We're all excited about turning the calendar to December and all things holiday.  We have lots of activities coming up so stay tuned!

~The hubby gave me my Christmas present already!  It is a new PC!  My laptop was slowly dying so he bought me a new desktop PC and I'm loving it.  I very rarely moved my laptop from my desk anyway, so we decided a desktop would work perfectly and the price was unbeatable. :)

~We've finished all our Christmas shopping!  Doug and I made a quick shopping trip to finish up the little bit of presents we still needed to buy.  I feel so accomplished and actually a bit relieved that we can now sit back and enjoy the Season.  I am making one present and am well on my way to finishing it up.  Bring on Christmas :)

~The hubby has been on vacation this week.  He picked this week as it is Hunting Season here in Pennsylvania.  He so rarely has time to do things for him so I'm glad he's getting to do something he enjoys.  Along with hunting, he's been watching a great deal of Hallmark movies :)

~I had my first Christmas Party of the year on Tuesday evening!  Our Church Ladies Group usually has a potluck dinner once a month except in December we go out to eat so no one has to cook!  We also do a Christmas exchange.  My Mom actually drew my name this year and got me a whole bunch of Bath & Body Works lotions and body washes in Sweet Pea, one of my favorite scents :)

Thankful Thursday ~ 11/29/18

~It has been a winter wonderland around here lately with snow storms and very below seasonal temperatures.  I decided to break out the wintery "Thankful Thursday" graphic I found when I searched google.   :)

~Thanksgiving was last Thursday and we had a wonderful time with family.  My mom and I cooked (mostly Mom) all morning long with a little bit of help from Laken with the pies.  (She loves to bake!)  The turkey was delicious as were all the side dishes.  The pumpkin pie and Cream Puff Cake were my favorites though :)

~The hubby and I usually go Black Friday shopping every year.  It has become a tradition for just the two of us to have a day together and get the majority of our shopping done.  This year, there really wasn't anything on sale that we HAD to have so we went shopping Wednesday afternoon before the rush.  There was hardly anybody out and about and it was such a relaxing way to shop.  We did go out on Friday afternoon with the girls but only went to Kohl's and Ollie's.  We also have a few items ordered online.  We're almost done with our shopping! :)

~Kaylee went to New York City on a bus trip with my brother and my SIL on Saturday.  I was a little nervous about her going because we were supposed to get some freezing rain and it is about 5-6 hour drive.  Once they got there I was fine.  I trust my brother and SIL completely to take care of my girl and knew they would keep her close.  They met back up with the bus at 10pm and again I was a bit nervous about the traveling.  They ended up getting home around 4am Sunday morning safe and sound :)

~You might have read on my Weekly Weigh In post that I somehow have developed Plantar Fasciitis in my right foot.  It is slowly feeling better as I follow my dr's recommendations.  One of the recommendations is to wear tennis shoes.  I always wear my tennis shoes (FILA's) when I walk for exercise but other than that I'm usually bare footed or wearing my slip on loafers.  It has been a big adjustment for me to have my FILA's on from morning until night.  BUT, I can feel progress so I guess it is worth it :)

Thankful Thursday ~ 11/8/18

~We went to see "The Nutcracker:  Four Realms" on Saturday afternoon.  I wasn't that thrilled to be seeing it but Laken was really excited about it so that made it a priority.  I ended up really liking it!  It was a bit predictable, but aren't all movies these days?  I'm so cynical!  lol

~Later that evening, we played Dogopoly (again Laken's choice).  It was fun but anytime we play any form of Monopoly, it always ends in crying :(  Laken lost and there went the water works!  The Hubby of course won and had no mercy :)

~We're starting to get in the Christmas Spirit here!  Sirius XM Channel 70 is the Hallmark Christmas Music channel!  I'm so excited!

~The Holiday Baking Championship new season started on Monday night!  I love watching baking/cooking shows and what better way to get in the Spirit even more!

~BIG NEWS!  Kaylee is going to college!  Wednesday afternoon, we spent the whole afternoon filling out FAFSA forms and her college application.  We've made calls about placement testing, financial aid, scholarships, etc.  She won't be starting until Fall 2019, but getting started on the paperwork early is always necessary.  Her final decision on what to study is "Business Management".  Whoohoo!  I thought decision would never be made... :)

Thankful Thursday ~ 10/18/18

~Last Satuday was a family day for us!  We made the trek to Altoona and shopped.  Our first stop was Hobby Lobby.  How fun!  At least for me :)  We then had lunch at Red Robin.  Yummmm!

~I picked out my new calendar for 2019!  This year I had flowers so I decided to go back to tried and true "Beaches".  I love looking at pictures of beaches and imagining I'm there, especially in those cold, snowy winter months :)

~I was also looking for some nonfiction books to help me get out of my reading slump!  Ollies is my go-to store for getting great books cheap.  I got all 5 books for only $20!  Here's what I picked up:)

~I got a new PenPal!!!!  I'm so excited, you guys!  A group of us in the #madeformore facebook group decided to do a penpal exchange.  The fantastic lady who spear headed it all sent us our penpal information yesterday!  I've already exchanged emails with my new friend who lives in Manitoba, Canada.  I'm so excited!  Did I already say that  :)

~I finally got a copy of Girl, Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis!  I had ordered it from www.cbd.com but it was backordered until the 26th.  Luckily I just happened to see at a Wal-Mart near me and snagged it up and canceled my order.  I started reading it last night but just got too tired to get past chapter 2.  I'm off today (doing laundry) and look forward to getting to dig in :)

Thankful Thursday ~ 10/11/18

~Have you heard of the #last90days Challenge going on at www.thechicsite.com and #madeformore on facebook?  If you haven't, check it out!  It has been an amazing encouragement to me the past 2 weeks.  I'm getting better sleep, working out more, drinking more water, eating less junk and have been more grateful every day.  I'm so glad I stumbled upon it :)

~I got new eye glasses!  Lately contacts have been bothering my eyes so I started wearing my glasses.  However, they were a couple years old and not an up-to-date prescription.  I made the call and got an appointment with my eye dr. and poof, here I sit with a pair of newer, trendier glasses :)

~The family and I went to see "Venom" at the theater on Saturday evening.  I was kinda just going along to spend time with the family and not very excited about the movie choice.  I was greatly and pleasantly surprised that I loved the movie!  It is a Marvel film and every Marvel film has a little piece at the end to keep you hanging.  Well, it did and I can't wait for the next movie!

~We came home Sunday after Church to NO WATER!  We thought we might have to purchase a new well pump which is very expensive.  I was feeling down and then my hubby came into the Family Room to tell me that they hit the pump gauge with a hammer and, voila, we had water again!  Dodged that bullet :)

~I picked out and bought my new planner for 2019!  I spent way too long in the stationary aisle trying to decide which planner to get.  My family just kept coming back to see if I was ready to go yet.  It took me at least 30 minutes to decide!  I am such a stationary geek :)

What are you thankful for today?
