Weekly Weigh In ~ 10/13/18
Well, I've decided to go back to posting my weekly weigh-ins here on Colletta's Kitchen Sink. Managing two blogs was just a pain in the patooty.
I'm still doing the #Last90days Challenge that you can read more about HERE. It is basically a challenge to live the last 90 days of 2018 like you would the first month of the year with resolutions going full force. It actually is more about changing your habits than resolutions though. Again, go to the post above to read more details.
I've added a column to my daily planner with the numbers 1-5 so that I can mark off each day that I complete one of the 5 to Thrive points. I love when I get to mark all 5 points off!
(Just to let you know: I'll be doing my actual weigh in on Friday mornings and then posting the results here on Saturday. That gives me a bit of time to write the post.)
On to this week's weigh in!
Here are some stats:
Starting Weight on 9/10/18 ~ 276.6 lbs

Diet
The #Last90days Challenge has been so good for me and my diet! The food that I gave up was junk food and I have been killing it since starting the challenge on October 1st. I think I only caved one day and had a small cupcake. Even that cupcake made me realize that it wasn't worth not being able to put that check mark next to #4 on the 5 to Thrive for that day.

Weekly Weigh In ~ 6/2/18
Over my blogging break, I kinda took a break from diet and exercise also. And it showed up on the scale today with a 4 lb gain over the last two weeks. Yikes!
But, I have a plan in place and will be starting fresh tomorrow. I'll let you know more about my plan in future posts, but I've made some changes.
I'm not giving up!

Weekly Weigh In ~ 5/12/18
Yesterday, was a really bad eating day for me and by evening I was really discouraged with my lack of self-control.
Did it matter to me that the entire week (except for yesterday) I had stuck to the program and exercised enough to go over my FitPoints goal? No. All that mattered is that I thought I had failed.
I decided that I needed to own up to my mistake and go and face the music of the scale.
Imagine my surprise when I weighed in for -2.0 lbs!
I guess one bad day doesn't negate all the hard work of the week. That is a good lesson to learn. Don't give up and don't give in because of a few mistakes.
So, that means that I've lost 10.6 lbs since rejoining WW Meetings on my birthday, March 24th. I'll take it!
My week's stats:
Weigh-in: -2.0 lbs Total: -31.8 lbs.

Weekly Weigh In ~ 5/5/18
Yeah, well, that didn't happen.
For some reason, I wanted to eat all the bad foods and too much of it. I couldn't keep my hands out of the snack bin! Arghhh!!!
I was expecting a gain at my Weight Watchers Weigh In this morning and that is what I got...
This week I gained a whopping +0.8 lbs.
I know it doesn't sound like much and I'm not terribly upset about it but that is the exact amount that I lost last week. So basically, I've maintained for 2 weeks instead of losing :(
My plan for this week is to get back on plan with tracking my food to stay within my SmartPoints and working hard to hit my FitPoint goal.
Staying motivated and getting into a new routine are key this week.
My week's stats:

Saturday Weigh-In ~ 4/28/18
At the 4/21/18 weigh-in, I had lost 0.8 lbs... But that meant I had lost 5 lbs in two weeks! I had to tell myself this so I would be disappointed too badly.
Now on to this week:
I lost another 0.8 lbs.
I was rather happy with this due to the fact that I ate pizza twice this week and ended up using all my daily points, weekly points and even some of my fitpoints!
I'm only 0.6 lbs away from having lost 10 lbs in 1 month. That is exciting! I really hope to reach that 10 lb mark this week. I am excited that I've lost a bit over 30 lbs from my highest weight!
Somehow I managed to get exactly 43/43 Fitpoints in this week. I got a new Leslie Sansone vide (more on that in another post) and really like it so far.
Here's to a good week ahead!
My week's stats:

Saturday Weigh-In ~ 4/14/18
I gave myself a bedtime pep-talk. I basically told myself that as long as there was a loss, I'd be happy. I knew I had done all I could and it would all depend on how my body responded
Imagine my excited surprise when I got on the scale at the meeting this morning and lost...
4.2 lbs!!!!!!
In one week!
I could not be happier!
So in the last 3 weeks of being back at the full Weight Watcher Program, I've lost 7.8lbs! So exciting!
I also got my 5 lb charm. Gotta love some bling :)

Saturday Weigh-In ~ Weight Watchers ~ 4/7/18
I have decided that I DO want to continue with Saturday Weigh-Ins.
I'm still trying to lose weight and get healthier. In fact, I recently upped my Weight Watcher membership from Online Only to Meeting and Online. (More on that in another post.)
So, this morning was my weekly WW meeting. Bright and early...
This is my third week to be back to meetings. The first week was my official weigh-in. The second week I lost a whopping 0.6 lbs. (So disappointing). This week I lost:
3 lbs!!
I was so excited! For like a minute. Then all the doubts started flooding in.
~I have so far to go...
~What if I quit again...
~What if I have a bad weigh-in next week...
etc., etc., etc!
I had to immediately change my mind set to positive thinking and kick out the negatives.
~I have a plan.
~I'm going to stick to that plan this week.
~Just think about this week.
~Stay on plan today.
If I'm brave enough, I think I'm going to start posting my actual weight. This would be a big step for me. Let me know in the comments if you think I should.
My week's stats:

Saturday Weigh-In ~ 2/10/18
I went to the dr. for my annual check-up yesterday. According to their scale I was up 3.2 lbs from my last Saturday Weigh-in. Sigh...
I know that it was a different scale and all that jazz but it still was sigh-worthy :(
I keep gaining and losing the same 5 pounds over and over and can't make any headway!
I'm not anywhere near where I wanted to be weight-wise by this time. I only have a month until my 40th birthday and 6 months ago had big weight loss plans.
I can sigh and look back all I want, but that isn't going to change anything. What will change is how I go from here on out.
How much do I want it? So much!
How can I do it? I don't know!
Any ideas?

Saturday Weigh-In ~ 1/27/18
This week has been long...
I already was working Monday, Wednesday and Friday at our local community college. This week, I started watching my cousin's baby on Tuesday and Thursday. So I'm essentially working full-time and have been adjusting to my new schedule.
I just could NOT make myself exercise this week. I wrote last week that I was struggling with fitting exercise in and it did NOT get any better this week. In fact, it was worse. I didn't exercise even one time! ugghhh!
I have been trying my best to stick to my diet plan though and I guess that is where my tiny little loss came from.
My goal for next week is to exercise at least 3 times even if I have to force myself!

Saturday Weigh-In ~ 1/20/18
Big sigh of relief over here in Southern Pennsylvania! New batteries are in the scale and guess what???
I lost 2.8 lbs this week!!! Whoohoo!!
I didn't do very well on the exercise front this week and only laced up my tennis shoes 1 time for concentrated exercise.
I must have done something right with my eating to lose the weight. I tried to stay on track as best as I could.
Now to just get that exercise in. I know I would feel better physically and mentally. I always feel better when I'm exercising consistently. Any tips to make it happen?

Saturday Weigh-In ~ 1/13/18
And this week was ugly!
It was as if I've already forgotten my goals. Arrggghhhh!!!! I had absolutely no exercise logged and I didn't track my food.
All that after having a loss last week. You would think it would have motivated me to stay strong instead of slacking off. But that is what I did: I slacked!
Even though it was a rough week, I was going to weigh-in. I hopped on my scale ready to be devastated only to find that the batteries must have died. It has just been that kind of week...
So, this coming week I'm going to strive to get on track. I've already scheduled my exercise days: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. I've also added a line on my daily schedule to remind me to track even if I go way over my daily points. And I'll be getting new batteries for my scale.
Hopefully I'll have better news next week. Until then...

Saturday Weigh-In ~ 1/6/18
I didn't have the best exercise week. I only got in concentrated exercise time 3 days but I was so much more mindful of what I ate than I have been in the longest time.
I tried to cut out the junk food as much as I could and instead snacked on cheese sticks and the occasional cracker. Sweets were almost non-existent, which is major for me!
I'm not going to lie.... I was HUNGRY a few times because I've gotten so used to eating whatever, whenever but I'm changing that. (BTW, "Change" is my WORD for the year.)
I felt so much better knowing that I was doing something good for my health and am so happy that I got good results. It really helps to keep me motivated when I can see myself moving toward my goal.

Saturday Weigh-In ~ 12/30/17 ~ LINKUP
I've been more conscience of my eating, at least after Christmas Day. I've been trying to get back into my tracking groove and have been doing pretty well logging onto Weight Watchers Online and tracking my food intake as well as my exercise.
This past week has been all about starting to put healthy living practices into place so that I can kick off the new year strong and in full force.
I'm just getting warmed up :)
My week's stats:
Weigh-in: +3.5 Total: -19 lbs. (I'll update sometime Saturday morning)

Saturday Weigh-In ~ 12/23/17 ~ LINKUP
I've been missing from my Saturday Weigh-in posts for quite a while now.
I started having some issues with my depression/anxiety and felt like I had to lighten up on myself for a while. I'm feeling much better now and really want to get back into a routine of working toward getting healthier physically also.
Once again, I feel as if I'm starting over. I've gained a few pounds over the past months so I just want to start fresh.
Hopefully, I'll be able to get into an exercise routine that fits my new work schedule. I'm now working Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8am-2:30 which leaves me just enough time after work to pick up the kids. My plan will be to get my exercise in on my days off. I'll probably be using my exercise DVDs, especially, Leslie Sansone walking DVDs. First, I must get my DVD player hooked back up! Step one!
Second, I need to control my eating. I'll be using my Weight Watchers Online program. I don't know if I'll get fully started on this until after New Year's Day. I really should at least start monitoring what I'm eating to get into the swing of it again.
Third, my mini-goal is STILL my 40th birthday toward the end of March. That gives me 3 good months to get back on track. I haven't set a goal of how many pounds to lose because that really stresses me out. I'm just going to try to do the best that I can.
Fourth, Saturday Weigh-in posts really help me stay accountable. I'm going to try to post the good, the bad and the ugly without getting overly worked up over the ugly.
So, what are your healthy living goals for 2018?
My week's stats:
Weigh-in: Total: -22.5 lbs.
Exercise: Non-existent
TOTAL: minutes = /35 FitPoints
Notes: I'm writing this post to help me think through my plan and get back on track.

Saturday Weigh-In ~ 10/7/17 ~ LINKUP
It happens. But I've been trying to have the mindset of "persistence not perfection".
So, a NORMAL week for me would look like this:
My Weight Watchers goal is set at 35 FitPoints per week. Therefore, that is what I strive to achieve. That means I need to walk a little over 3 hours per week.
My exercise week starts on the weekend. I'd like to get 1-2 small walks in over the Fri-Sun time period but that doesn't always happen.
The bulk of my exercise time is Monday-Thursday after work from 1pm-2pm. (I'll talk about WHERE I walk in another post but you can see in my stats.) If I make the time and effort to walk those four days for 1 hour, I get more than enough time in to earn my 35 FitPoints.
That is the ideal.
Then there are weeks like this week. I had doctor's appointments and other craziness going on and I didn't fit my walk in over the weekend or on Monday. That left me 3 days. 3 days to try to fit it all in! Big mistake!
I decided to up my walking time each of the 3 days to 80 minutes. It went alright for Tuesday. Wednesday, I was feeling it a bit by the time I finished. Thursday morning I could barely walk! I over-did it.
I didn't increase my speed, just my time. I need to know my limitations and it seems that 60 minutes a day is my limit! I know that now.
So, this was the first week in a while that I didn't quite hit my FitPoints goal. I only made it to 30/35 FitPoints. This bummed me out a bit but I knew I had to take Thursday off to recuperate.
I guess this wasn't such a bad week to tell you about my routine. At least the "What Not to Do" part :)
Thankfully, it is a new week and I have a new set of 35 FitPoints to strive for. Here's to a good exercise week!
What does your exercise routine look like?
My week's stats:
Weigh-in: +1.0 Total: -26.2 lbs.
Exercise:
Sat: minutes
Sun: minutes
Mon: minutes
Tues: 80 minutes (Treadmill Planet Fitness)
Wed: 80 minutes (Treadmill Planet Fitness)
Thurs: minutes (Treadmill Planet Fitness)
Fri: minutes
TOTAL: 160 minutes = 30/35 FitPoints
Notes: We made fudge. Peanut Butter Fudge that I couldn't stay out of no matter how disciplined I tried to be! I fully attribute my 1 pound gain to the 3 pounds of fudge I ate :( P.S. That is just an estimate :)

Saturday Weigh-In ~ 9/30/17 ~ LINKUP
I've done it all. I've counted calories. Counted fat grams. Counted carbs, etc., etc., etc. But what I'm finding is working for me is Weight Watchers.
I have a Weight Watchers Online membership. I started out with a 3 month all inclusive subscription to Weight Watchers and attended the meetings. The closest meeting is 30 minutes away and on a Saturday morning at 8:00am. (Not very convenient!) So when that initial trial ran out, I went to Online Only.
That means, I have all the access to the tools online, I just can't attend the physical meetings. The Online Only costs me around $19/month.
I've been trying to stay on track with the Weight Watchers food plan as much as possible.
I'm allotted 39 Daily Points (it just went down 1 point last week) and 42 Weekly Points. So each day I have 39 Points worth of food to eat. I also get an additional 42 Points per week to use however I want, if I want. I also tend to rack up extra FitPoints but I just leave them alone.
Breakfast and Lunch:
I'm usually on-the-go in the morning and at lunch time, so what I've found to be working for me is to eat a Special K Chocolate Peanut Butter Meal Bar for breakfast and also one for lunch. It is super easy to just slip one in my pocket book and take to work with me and it is convenient to be able to eat it at my desk whenever I get hungry (usually around 11am). Each bar is worth 7 points so that means between breakfast and lunch I use 14 points, leaving me 25 points. BTW, it is super yummy!
Supper:
For supper, I eat whatever we're having as a family. I don't cook anything special just for me. I just don't have the inclination to do that. Having 25 points to use for supper usually covers it for me. Sometimes, I have a few left over and sometimes, I have to dip into my weeklies.
Snacks:
Do I get hungry? In the afternoon, before supper, I'm usually hungry. If I feel that I can't wait until supper, I'll snack on a mozzarella stick but I'm trying not to snack unless I feel that I need to.
Beverages:
I don't drink ANYTHING that costs me points. For my morning caffeine, I have Diet Dr. Pepper and drink Vanilla Chai Tea while at work. Other than that it is Diet or water
Do I cheat?
Technically, I can have whatever I want as long as I account for it in my tracking. Sometimes, maybe once a week, I don't track at all. (Bad, Colletta!) This is something I'll work on...
So, what kind of meal plan do you use?
Next week, I'll talk a little bit about my Exercise Routine.
My week's stats:
Weigh-in: -1.4 Total: -27.2 lbs.
Exercise:
Sat: minutes
Sun: 60 minutes (Neighborhood walk X 2)
Mon: 60 minutes (Treadmill Planet Fitness)
Tues: 60 minutes (Treadmill Planet Fitness)

TOTAL: 240 minutes = 44/35 FitPoints
