Cookie # 3 in:
Hearty Trail Mix Cookies
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
1 cup quick-cooking oats
1 cup flour
1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/8 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup coconut
1/2 cup M&M candies
1 egg
6 Tablespoons butter, softened
1/4 cup sugar

Preheat oven to 375.
Combine all dry ingredients in a mixing bowl.
Add egg and butter. Beat on low until mixture is thoroughly blended.
Drop by heaping teaspoonsfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are slightly browned.
Remove from oven and let cookies cool on cookie sheet for 1 minute. Transfer to cooling rack. (Makes about 3 dozen)
Results
I enjoyed these cookies even though I had to pick the raisins out of mine. I took them with me to Prayer Meeting and everyone seemed to liked them.

They look great to me! For a little protein power, you could put in walnuts (or other nuts) maybe instead of the raisins. I'll try to remember to let you know when we try them.
