Hearty Trail Mix Cookies

Cookie # 3 in:

Hearty Trail Mix Cookies

1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
1 cup quick-cooking oats
1 cup flour
1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/8 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup coconut
1/2 cup M&M candies
1 egg
6 Tablespoons butter, softened

Preheat oven to 375.

Combine all dry ingredients in a mixing bowl.

Add egg and butter.  Beat on low until mixture is thoroughly blended.

Drop by heaping teaspoonsfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.  Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are slightly browned.

Remove from oven and let cookies cool on cookie sheet for 1 minute.  Transfer to cooling rack.  (Makes about 3 dozen)

I enjoyed these cookies even though I had to pick the raisins out of mine.  I took them with me to Prayer Meeting and everyone seemed to liked them.
Let me know if you try this recipe and if you like it.

  1. They look great to me! For a little protein power, you could put in walnuts (or other nuts) maybe instead of the raisins. I'll try to remember to let you know when we try them.

  2. These look delicious! I like the idea of adding some nuts too. Thanks so much for sharing this delicious recipe!

    Best wishes,

  3. Love trailmix so I know I would love these too! Thanks!
