    Historical fiction is not my favorite genre; it depends on what type of historical book it is for me.

    I love historical fiction. I love the way you can glean information about the living conditions and society mindsets by reading well researched novels.

    I like historical fiction because it takes you to a time and place where we can see how different people lived in other time periods,countries and cultures.

    I love historical fiction because it brings to life how people used to live. Frontier stories are some of my favorites. Honestly I just love to read and read most anything except horror, explicit romance.

    I love HistFic because it transports you to another place, a whole other world, that once was. It's so interesting to see the differences and yet all the similarities too.

    I like historical fiction because it gives you insight into the past and makes you appreciate the progress that's been made (especially medical progress)! :)

    What I love about historical novels is getting to live through the characters in a time that is so wildly different than the fast paced techno world we live in today.

    Why do I like historical fiction? hmmm...I've always loved stories my mother told of growing up during the Great Depression. I suppose it's wondering how I would have reacted under similar circumstances to those living in the past. Thanks for the giveaway!

    I've always been drawn to history (which is why I got a degree in the subject). I love historical fiction because I think it's a great way to change the past or even just experience it!

    I love historical fiction because it not only is a fun read, you get to learn about the times and often a novel helps me learn history much better than a boring history text
