October 2019 Goals ~ Final Update

As October comes to an end, here is an update on my October goals.  I'll be posting my November goals soon :)

~ Lose 8.2 lbs for the October 3% Challenge

I didn't quite make this goal.  I did lose 4 lbs though!

~ Continue growing out hair

I did NOT get my hair cut this month even though I am starting the eternal debate of whether to stay short or grow my hair out longer!  I really would like to have my long, curly hair back.  I don't have a cut schedule until January 2, 2020 so here's hoping!

~ Get a filling fixed

Done!  It only took about 5 minutes!

~ Go to Homecoming

October 5th was my hometown's Homecoming.  I wasn't feeling very well that day but I did make it to the gathering for a few hours.  It was a fun time of looking at the booths and catching up with friends.

~ Go to the Fall Foliage Festival

The Bedford Fall Foliage Festival is always the first 2 weekends in October.  I took Laken to the festival on Saturday, October 12th.  Kaylee went with Shawn, her boyfriend, and Doug's back was hurting so he stayed home.  Laken and I ate, shopped and browsed the hundreds of booths.  It was nice to spend some one-on-one time with my youngest.  I need to do the same with Kaylee sometime.

~ Make Pies

Our Harvester Class (Ladies Class at Church) made 45 pies to sell at Homecoming.  Friday, the 4th was "Pie Day".  There were 4 ladies + my dad there to make the pies.  It was a long day, but we had fun :)  I do have some apples here at home that I'd like to make into either pies or dumplings when I get the chance.

~ Carve Pumpkins with the girls

We did NOT carve pumpkins this year.  This is the first year since they've been born that we didn't and I don't really even know why we didn't.  I guess we just didn't take the time to go purchase pumpkins and that is kinda the first step!

~ Attend each week's WW Workshop this month

I actually missed my first workshop of October due to being sick :(

~ Get exercise back on track

I'm going to say this is "done" but it is an on-going issue with me so it will probably be on next month's goals as well.

~ Continue working on my Etsy shop (if you want to stop by it is www.etsy.com/shop/collettakay )

I've been working on my Etsy shop and have made a few sales.  I still have some ideas of items to make and list so this is also an on-going item.

How'd you do on your October goals?  Do you plan on setting goals for November?

October Goals ~ Mid-month Check In

Can you believe we're halfway through October already?!?  The weather is finally feeling like Fall and I'm loving it!

I thought I'd do a mid-month check in to show you how I'm doing with my October goals.

~ Lose 8.2 lbs for the October 3% Challenge

So far I've lost 2 lbs this month.  I don't know if I'm going to hit the 8.2 lbs goal :(

~ Continue growing out hair

So far, so good!

~ Get a filling fixed

This is happening this afternoon...

~ Go to Homecoming

October 5th was my hometown's Homecoming.  I wasn't feeling very well that day but I did make it to the gathering for a few hours.  It was a fun time of looking at the booths and catching up with friends.

~ Go to the Fall Foliage Festival

~ Carve Pumpkins with the girls

Still plan on doing this

~ Attend each week's WW Workshop this month

I actually missed my first workshop of October due to being sick :(

~ Get exercise back on track

Need to work on this.

~ Continue working on my Etsy shop (if you want to stop by it is www.etsy.com/shop/collettakay )

I've been working away on my items for the Etsy shop.  There are still items on my to do list so I won't mark it off yet.

Have a great second half of October!

Saturday Weigh-In ~ 9/23/17 ~ LINKUP

Many thanks to Stacy at Intentional Mommyhood for the Saturday Weigh-In graphic!

This week I wrote a post about my Fall Goals.  Of course, that included physical/fitness goals.

I thought I'd share them here also:

~Lose 1 lb per week for a total of 13 lbs
~Track my food daily:  the good, the bad and the ugly
~Walk 5-6 days a week to get my 35 FitPoints per week
~Continue my "Saturday Weigh-In" post

I can't tell you how important it is for me to share my journey here in my Saturday Weigh-In post.  It helps hold me accountable in a way that I need to keep me motivated.

Having others to share the journey with is going to make such a big difference to me.

That being said...

I lost 3.4 lbs this week!!  That puts me just over the 25 lbs lost mark!  I'm so happy!  I want to keep the momentum up for this next week.  Say a little prayer for me, would you?

Next week I'll be writing about my diet/food plan.

So what are your Fall Fitness Goals???

My week's stats:

Weigh-in:  - 3.4 Total:  -25.8 lbs.

Exercise:
                 Sat:  30 minutes (Neighborhood walk)

              TOTAL:  210 minutes = 40/35 FitPoints

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Whether you've got 100 (or more) pounds to lose or just 5.  Whether you've been weighing in for years or just starting.  Whether you do Weight Watchers or some other diet or exercise program.  Whether you are 65 or 25.  I'd love, love, love to have your support and friendship in this constant struggle which is weight loss/healthy living.
So please leave a comment with a link to your fitness/healthy living/weigh-in post and let us be each other's accountability.
Personally, I love Fall!  I love each new season as it comes along.  I don't know if I could live where the seasons aren't remarkably different.
I feel like I get a new start with each new season, but especially Fall.  (Maybe because I'm a nerdy, school-girl at heart :)
Fall Goals
At the beginning of Summer, I made a Summer Goals list. I did pretty well accomplishing all of my goals. Some were work some were fun.
I sometimes have difficulty adjusting to change. Even changes in seasons, although I love them! Making a Goals list at the beginning of the season somehow helps me to settle in and have focus.
I made my Fall Goals list a few days ago and thought I'd record it here and see how well I do by the end of Fall. Here goes!
1. Exercise 15 miles per week.
2. Stay current on my 1st Place study.
3. Finish Boomerang Blocks that are seriously late.
4. Finish quilting "Hornet Pride" quilt.
5. Help open a Charter School in Hyndman.
6. Preschool Laken.
7. Fall clean-up yard.
8. Plant Bulbs.
9. Re-organize pantry.
10. Stay involved in the Guardian Angel program regularly.
11. Get Christmas shopping done before December 1st.
12. Celebrate our 10th Anniversary 9/17.
13. Enjoy the fire pit and roast marshmallows.
14. Hike around Shawnee Lake.
15. Take Lilah to the lake or creek.
16. Harvest Party at Church.
17. Homecoming.
18. Fall Foliage Festival
19. Joy ride to see the pretty leaves.
20. Complete all my Fall Goals!
(I had to make it an even 20! lol)
