Chats on the Porch ~ 2//5/13

This week's questions are:

1. What is your favorite time of day to read? If you don't enjoy reading, then what is your favorite time to watch TV/movies?

My favorite time to read is right before bed.  It helps me relax enough to go to sleep.

2. Did you watch the Super Bowl? If so, what was your favorite commercial? If you didn't watch it, what did you do Sunday night?
I'm a Steeler's fan so my team didn't play. :(  My husband is a Raven's fan so we had the game on but he had to leave for work before it was over due to the power outage at the stadium.  My favorite commercial was probably the Oreo commercial.  Mostly because it was set at a library and they were all whispering :)

3. Have you been watching Downton Abbey?Who's your favorite character? If not, have you seen any interesting TV or movies series lately?
I watched every season but this one and loved it!  I haven't watched this season because once Mary and  Matthew were getting married it kind of lost the intrigue for me.  They were, of course, my favorite characters.

4. Do you enjoy home parties for selling items? (like Pampered Chef, Southern Living, Mary Kay)

I usually have a good time when I go to one but anymore they are on a weeknight which makes things too hard for me to go.  I enjoy book parties where I can peruse at my time and then order.

5. Please finish this sentence. If I work very hard, I can__________________.

get all my tasks for the day done and then sit down to watch TV and crochet or read!

Let's chat and get to know one another!

Have a great day!

  2. When I read just before bed, I often wake up with the book under the covers or me sleeping on it. :) Have a great week!

  3. I love to crochet, too, and knitting. But, I'm bad about starting several projects at once and then taking forever to finish any of them.

    Have a great week!

  4. My problem with reading late at night is that I get so engrossed and don't sleep when I ought to. That would be okay if I didn't have to get up in the morning!

  6. I'm a Steelers fan as well. It was difficult for me to "route" for the Ravens. It must be intersting in your home with a Steelers fan and a Ravens fan.

I'm working on getting better at crochet. I'm usually being interrupted by one of my kids and loose count on where I am.

    Have a great week.

  8. I really like to read before bed too. It is best for me on the weekends when I can stay up as late as I feel like. On the weekenights I have to limit myself or I won't want to get up in the morning. :)
