A little bit of everything. Even the kitchen sink.
I do read quite a bit of young adult books. Even though I'm no longer a young adult (or at least the age that usually falls under this category. ;). I enjoy the pretty dresses on a lot of covers. Or the ones that have scenery depicting the world the book takes place in. I'm not sure I really have a favorite, just whatever catches my eye at the moment. :)
Most of the books I read are YA. I love the covers that have pretty clothes on the cover, mostly dresses. One of my favorites is the cover of Some Quiet Place. And the Unearthly and Everneath series too! Those are just the ones I thought of first. There's tons more, but I'm not going to list them all.animefreak902(at)yahoo(dot)comThank you! What do I love most about YA book covers? Oh gosh, if that isn't an impossible question, I don't know what it... Ummm. They're usually very beautiful and quite often also contain just that slight bit of unsurity that goes along with adolescence?realityisnovel at g mail dot com

NOT DRESSES! Lol. I hate this prom dress craze. They have absolutely nothing to do with the story 90% of the time. I do love how graphic and emotive YA covers email@example.com

I follow via GFC--cynthia clubbsYoung Adult Book Covers are very simple and to-the-point. Generally, they feature the main characters. I love this because it enables me to go into the book already knowing what the main characters are supposed to look like:)
That's a tough question. There's lots of things I like about the covers but I guess I mostly enjoy the dresses. Some of them are just so pretty. I really like the cover for Splintered, there's no dress on it but I love the colors and it just stands out.

I love the YA covers. I agree with Melody that the dresses are gorgeous. They also have a spooky feel to them...like Grave Mercy or Amy Plum ones... it's not a half nekkid couple on the cover.
I haven't really paid much attention to YA book covers versus other genres' covers. I do think that the cover is important for a first impression on the book - regardless of genre.

I really like when they match the cover to the story. The YA book covers are getting better and better lately. The covers have more colors that stand out, better clothing like these awesome, beautiful dresses. And the models they pick are wow! Especially the male models. Like the Lux Series, I just LOVE the that male model on the cover!! He is so gorgeous! So far I would say the Lux Series covers are my favorite. Thank you for a chance to win and for being a part of this fun and awesome blog hop!! firstname.lastname@example.org

Thanks for the giveaway! I love to read books about absolutely swoony male heroes. My favorite swoon-worthy book is probably "Beautiful Disaster" featuring Travis!! Travis is complex, moody, passionate, beautifully physical and completely and totally swoon-worthy. Happy V-Day!mestith at gmail dot com

YA covers seem to always have beautiful colors and dresses and scenery that bring out a certain feeling in me. They tell a whole story within themselves, and yet they also have an air of mystery about them and you just can't wait to dive right in and find out more about that girl/guy/world!
