Head over to Tuesday's Place for the questions and to visit everyone's answers!
This week is just some odds and end type questions..
I can remember as a child going to the Drive In Theater. I can see them coming back during this time of "social distancing".
2. Should towns provide community entertainment like
bands in the park, fireworks on the 4rth, community picnics or is the cost just too much?
I think these things are very good and worthwhile. It builds a sense of community that is being lost.
3. What would you change about your town if you had the power?
I wish we had a gym instead of having to drive 30 minutes to a larger town to go to their Planet Fitness.
4. My little high school offered 3 courses of education: Business, University track and General education where you could also major in shop , carpentry, home economics and metal working, etc.
Would you like to see schools bring back business courses, shop classes and home
My daughter's middle school still provides all these courses, although I know it is not the norm anymore. I think these courses are essential to a student's education, because most don't get the instruction that they need at home.
I would like to see drive thrus come back as well. I believe the courses that you speak of are a necessary these days. We need hands on workers as well as the college educated.ReplyDelete
I would love to go to a drive-in again.ReplyDelete
I remember my parents taking me and my sister to the drive in, and we’d fall asleep in the back of the station wagon.ReplyDelete
I agree with you on #3! I live in a small town and would love to have a gym to go to. I would have to drive 30 minutes to get to one, so I don't go.ReplyDelete
I also agree with you on #4. Kids are not taught basics at home anymore. It is so sad. There is so much pressure on schools to teach everything. Loved your answers! Have a nice week. Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Yes, those things do build a sense of community. Thanks for joining in!!ReplyDelete
