It's Monday! What Are You Reading? ~ 3/9/20

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week.

Happy Daylight Savings Time!  I'm so excited :)

What I read last week:

I loved "One Thing I Know" by Kara Isaac, a go-to author for me.  Click HERE to read my review!

Blurb:

A fresh, heartfelt romance involving a case of mistaken identity when a ghostwriter masquerades as a relationship expert and the man who is determined to expose her holds not only the key to her success, but also her heart…

Rachel Somers is America’s #1 relationship coach—America just doesn’t know it. Rachel writes the books, but her Aunt Donna plays the face of the operation. Afraid of their secret being exposed, Rachel has no choice but to keep up the charade or lose the big money required to care for her father.

Lucas Grant is a star of late night radio and set on achieving his dream of syndication. When a big-time producer calls, it looks like his hard work is about to pay off. But the offer comes with a catch—the producer is convinced Dr. Donna is not what she seems and he wants Lucas to discover her secret. To do that, he needs to win over her tight-lipped assistant who holds the key to his success and—he begins to suspect—his heart. Can love find a way through the lies that force them apart?

What I'm reading now:

I'm still reading "A Dangerous Legacy" by Elizabeth Camden and enjoying it immensely.

Blurb:

Telegraph operator Lucy Drake is a master of Morse code and has made herself a valuable asset to the Associated Press news agency. But the sudden arrival of Sir Colin Beckwith at rival British news agency Reuters puts her hard-earned livelihood at risk. Colin is talented, handsome, insufferably charming—and keeping a secret that jeopardizes his reputation.

Despite their rivalry, Lucy can't deny that Colin has the connections she needs to give her family an edge in the long legal battle they've been waging over their rightful inheritance. But when she negotiates an unlikely alliance with him, the web of treachery they dive into proves to be far more dangerous than they ever could have known.

What I'll be reading next:

I decided that next I'll be reading "Deadly Proof" by Rachel Dylan, a new-to-me author.  Have you read anything by this author?  What did you think?

Blurb:

In the biggest case of her career, attorney Kate Sullivan is tapped as lead counsel to take on Mason Pharmaceutical because of a corporate cover-up related to its newest drug. After a whistleblower dies, Kate knows the stakes are much higher than her other lawsuits.

Former Army Ranger turned private investigator Landon James is still haunted by mistakes made while serving overseas. Trying to forget the past, he is hired by Kate to look into the whistleblower's allegation and soon suspects that the company may be engaging in a dangerous game for profit. He also soon finds himself falling for this passionate and earnest young lawyer.

Determined not to make the same mistakes, he's intent on keeping Kate safe, but as the case deepens, it appears someone is willing to risk everything—even murder—to keep the case from going to trial.

  2. I just finished reading a christian historical romance called Wagon Train Baby and just downloaded a book called The Cowboy's Baby Bond from our Library. Both books are by Linda Ford. Really enjoyed the 1st and hope I will this one also. Unfortunately my library didn't have the sequels to the first book which I got free on Amazon, but the sequels are not free. lol
