Happy Homemaker Monday ~ 1/3/2022 ~ On Tuesday...

Come join Diary of a SAHM for Happy Homemaker Monday.

Hello, and Happy Monday Tuesday!

My Aunt Pinky passed away on December 30, 2021 (not COVID related) and her funeral and luncheon was Monday.  I was busy with that all day and by the time I got home, I just did not feel like writing a post at all!  I feel like I'm a day behind on everything life related...

The weather outside is:

Now that Christmas is over, I don't care if we never get a bit of snow this year!  I'm ready for Spring.   :)

On today's to-do list:

Like I mentioned, I'm a day behind on everything so I just got my grocery shopping done today.  I read my Bible chapters for my new read-thru-the-Bible-in-a-year program and now I'm taking some time to get caught up on the blog.  I still want to exercise and read some of my book this afternoon/evening.

Happening this week:

Pat Sloan's new quilt/sew-along starts tomorrow and is called Sweet Dreams.  This Friday is "Friday Night with Friends" so I'm excited about that also!

Laken is officially off Christmas break starting today and the hubby went back to work on Sunday night.  Time to get back into the ROUTINE of life.

Kaylee and Shawn are doing well and Dahlia is growing like a weed!  She is going to be a huge Great Dane.

Currently reading:

I set my Goodreads goal at 52 books which is quite ambitious for me lately.  1 book per week should be doable.  My first book of 2022 is "The Fifth Avenue Story Society" by Rachel Hauck.  I'm not as far into it as I would like to be but I'm hoping to rectify that this evening.

On the TV:

Red Notice - Netflix

Listening to:

This week for "Songs on Sunday" I featured "Over and Over" by Riley Clemmons.  I hope you'll check it out :)

On the menu week:

Finally a week where my menu was made before this post!

Monday ~ Luncheon for Aunt Pinky
Tuesday ~ Chicken, Potato Salad
Wednesday ~ Kielbasa, cheesy potatoes
Thursday - Fish, Mac-n-Cheese
Friday ~ Pizza
Saturday ~ Pork Chops, noodles
Sunday ~ Potluck at Church

In the Craft Basket:

I haven't worked on the Sage Afghan for a few days.  I did make time to cut out the final blocks for the Fall Frolic sew-along.  I have 3 blocks to piece and then the settings to sew together before it is completed and ready to hand quilt.

Memory Verse

"I will bot lay me down in peace, and sleep; for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety."
Psalm 4:8

Have a great Monday Tuesday!
