Happy Homemaker Monday ~ 9/6/2021

Come join Diary of a SAHM for Happy Homemaker Monday.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hello, and Happy Monday !  Also Happy Labor Day!
The weather outside is:
It looks like a very mild week compared to a few weeks ago when we were having 95F days in a row.  This is the weather I love and it makes it my favorite time of year!
On today's to-do list:
Today is a holiday so no work or school for anyone in the house!  Whoohooo!
We don't have anything major planned (other than grocery shopping) so who knows what we'll get into :)
Happening this week:
Something exciting s happening this week!  My SIL, Kelly, invited me to go with her to a painting party!  I've never been to one and drawing/painting is NOT my forte.  Kelly assures me that the person hosting will walk us through the painting step by step.  Have you ever attended a painting party?  I'd love to see your paintings!
Currently reading:
I am finally having time to sit down and start reading!  My goal is to read at least 30 minutes every day.  Wish me luck!
On the TV:
We have been watching lots of Disney movies this week.  Some of them were Aladdin, Brave, Tarzan, and Lion King.
Listening to:
This week for "Songs on Sunday" I featured "Be Alright" by Evan Craft, Danny Gokey and Redimi2.  I hope you'll check it out :)
On the menu week:
Monday ~  Ham Pot Pie
Tuesday ~ Cheeseburgers, Mac-n-Cheese
Wednesday ~ Stroganoff
Thursday ~  Pizza, Salad
Friday ~ Lasagna Roll-ups
Saturday ~ Soup, Hot Ham and Cheese Sandwiches
Sunday ~ Potluck at Church
In the Craft Basket:
While I DID work on Kaylee and Shawn's Wedding Afghan, I still haven't completed it.  I have about 2 1/2 rounds yet to do on the border.  I just have have been in a bit of a funk :(
Picture from the Camera
This picture came up in my Facebook memories from 9 years ago!  Look at my babies!
Memory Verse
And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to follow all that I commanded you; and behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”  Matthew 28:18-20
Have a great Monday!
  1. I hope you fall in love with drawing and painting. Yes, I did paint years ago. I gave some paintings to organizations known for giving care to those in need. Some paintings were lost in the midst of moving. I often think of paining again one day. Probably, I have forgotten everything about mixing colors, etc. Thank you for sharing your nine year old photo. The girls look totally content with where they've gone or where they've been.
  2. Any painting party I have been to hasn't involved creating artwork, it has been helping to decorate a room. Your type of painting party sounds much more fun. I love Disney movies as well, though I have yet to watch Brave.
  6. I absolutely loved The Clutter Connection, so motivating. Thanks for sharing it on here. You'll enjoy the painting party, it's a lot of fun. I've been to two, one for a work function and one a very good friend (who's very artistic) led at her home a few years ago. I have the painting I did at my friend's party displayed down here. Sorry to hear you've been in a bit of a funk, I don't think you're alone. Hope it lifts soon and you have a great week!
  7. I hope the painting party goes well! I love to sketch - but have only tried a little bit of watercolor painting. That pic of your daughters is so sweet. Have a blessed rest of your week!
