1. For my birthday date, I chose to take a picnic to Shawnee State Park, our local lake and then go for a nice, leisurely, romantic walk on the 3.5 mile trail that surrounds the lake.
It was a gorgeous evening and we enjoyed watching a beautiful sunset across the lake.
Doug had to get a little closer to see the turtle sitting on a stump out in the water.

2. I've already shown you my swing and told you how much I love to sit there. With this lovely spring weather, I've also enjoyed time on my swing while crocheting.
Does this make me a swinging hooker? {blushing}

4. My oldest daughter is almost 11. She has had such a growth spurt lately. It excites me to say that I can now wear her flip-flops!
Double the flip-flops, double the fun!

4. Tuesday was Kindergarten registration at our school. We took my "baby" and while I filled out all the paperwork, Doug took her over to the table where she took her "test". Having school with Grandma and then us practicing over and over the ABC's and counting paid off. She passed! She is so excited to start school. I can't tell you how many times she's asked when Kindergarten starts. My baby is growing up!

Even though he's technically my cousin's son, I'm calling him my nephew! Just go ahead and try to stop me! His mommy is so much more to me than my cousin. We grew up like sisters :)

So, even though I was a bit late, these 5 things have made my very, very happy!
