The weather outside is::::

It rained all night long with some flurries this morning.  At the moment, it is just cold!

On my breakfast plate:

English Muffin, Vanilla Chai Tea

As I look around the house::::

I still haven't decided how I want to arrange the furniture/exercise equipment in the Family Room.  I'm starting to get a bit claustrophobic with it though and need to figure out something soon!

On today's to do list::::

I need to create a menu and grocery list for this week and sweep the floor.  I also need to exercise and it is my turn to make supper.

Happening this week::::

Devotions:  I started reading Luke this week and also studied "Potiphar's Wife" for Ladies Bible Study Group.  Takeaway:  Keep my eyes on my man and my family and not on what someone else has!

WW:  I had another loss this week although minimal.  I started the new Green Option of the MyWW Program.  BUT...my mom made fudge.  Peanut Butter Fudge.  I might as well have smeared it on my hips!

Exercise:  I met my Fit Point goal for the first week in a long time, thanks to my treadmill :)

Housework: I want to work on both the Family Room and Our Bedroom.  They both need a good organizing and the Family Room needs rearranged.

Bills:  Pay Day is on Thanksgiving.  I'll need to make our budge for the pay period and write out bills, go to the Bank and go to the Post Office.

Doug:  The hubby's OT  slowed a bit.  He'll be on vacation Wednesday through next Tuesday for Thanksgiving break and Deer Season.  I love this time of year!

Kaylee:  Kaylee is done with her Computer Lit Class for the semester and only has 5 more days of her other classes.  The Saturday after her last class she has plans to veg-out the whole day with her boyfriend, Shawn.  It has been a big adjustment for her and I'm very proud of her work ethic.

Laken:  Laken goes to school Monday and then is off until next Tuesday for Thanksgiving Break.  She's bemoaning the fact that she has to go on Monday!  I told her it could be worse...

Currently reading::::

I finished "Keep It Shut".  Yay!  It was such a good read.  Come back tomorrow for the review :)

Currently I'm reading "Made Well".

I'll probably come back to "Taming the To-Do List" next to finish it.

The weather outside is::::

Where has the Fall weather gone?  And why is it Winter already?
We had snow flurries all day Friday and it is supposed to be 17F Tuesday night!

On my breakfast plate:

English Muffin, Eggs, Vanilla Chai Tea

As I look around the house::::

I see dog hair everywhere!  I really must sweep the floors today...

On today's to do list::::

Sweep the above-mentioned floors, make a menu and grocery list, exercise.  The kids are off School for Veteran's Day so I'll be refereeing them a bit also.

Happening this week::::

Devotions:  I've been reading in Mark.  The Ladies' Bible Study Class is also going to start working through "Bad Girls of the Bible" by Liz Curtis Higgs.  We'll be starting off with Eve.

WW:  I knew I had to face the music and weigh-in on Saturday morning.  I also knew I was going to have a gain and I was right :(  Come back on Wednesday for my Weekly Weigh In for more details.

Exercise:  I'm getting a treadmill!  And an exercise bike!  A lady the hubby works with is selling her gently used treadmill and bike to us for $100.  Can't beat that!  Now we just need to rearrange the Family Room so they can fit.

Housework:  The above-mentioned rearrangement of the Family Room.  It needs a good cleaning/sorting anyway.  I'm also behind on changing the bedding so I need to get that done also.

Bills:  I need to sit down to budget the next 2 weeks and write out the bills for this pay period.

Doug:  The hubby has been working, working, working lately.  Lots of overtime.  It will come in handy right before Christmas :)

Kaylee:  Kaylee is all set up for the Spring 2020 Semester.  She's only got 4 weeks left in this semester then a well-deserved break :)

Laken:  Laken has been bitten by the reading bug!  She's reading the "Heroes of Olympus" series by Rick Riordan.  She's already read the Percy Jackson series.  She's been spending all her spare time reading or watching Hallmark movies :)

Currently reading::::

You can read my review of "The Super Mom Myth" HERE!

Happy Homemaker Monday ~ 10/28/19

Come join Diary of a SAHM for Happy Homemaker Monday.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The weather outside is::::
The weekend was dreary and gray with some major rains Saturday into Sunday morning.  After the rain stopped the weather warmed up nicely into the low 70's for a beautiful Fall day!  It is supposed to get in the lower temperatures at night later in the week.  Dare I say...snow????
On my breakfast plate:
English Muffin, Vanilla Chai Tea
As I look around the house::::
I see new picture frames.  I picked up three frames at the store for a couple pictures.  One is a drawing that Laken made for me of Lady from "Lady and the Tramp".  She did an amazing job on it!
On today's to do list::::
I need to make a menu and grocery list for the week before going for groceries tomorrow.
I also need to go to the post office to mail a couple packages out.
Oh, and the Steelers play on Monday Night Football!
Happening this week::::
Devotions:  I was really challenged Sunday to read more of the Word.  Instead of ready the little devotional that I've been reading, I'm going to start reading more of the actual Bible.  I'll start out with a few chapters a day and go from there.
WW:  I went to my Workshop Saturday morning as planned.  The scale stayed exactly the same as last week :(  Come back Wednesday for more about this topic.
Exercise:  I am finding it extremely hard to get back into the groove of exercising.  I've put it on my daily calendar and MUST make time to get at least a short workout in a few times a week.  Anything is better than nothing.  Right?
Housework:  How can 2 teenage girls make so much dirty laundry?  I guess that might be a stupid question!  I have one more load to put into the dryer and then their cloths will be ready for them to fold and hang up/put away.
Bills:  It is pay week so I'll be writing out our budget and bills for the next two weeks on Thursday.
Doug:  The hubby is on first shift (daylight 7-3) this week.  It has been a while since he has worked daylight and I miss him terribly throughout the day.  He prefers third shift (nights) but is looking forward to having a change.
Kaylee:  Kaylee and Ginger (a lady from Church) are practicing a song to sing together in Church.  They sound amazing and have only practiced once!  I'll add the song below in the "Listening to:" section.
Laken:  If I survive this child's teenage years it will be a miracle.  I don't remember Kaylee being so whiny and snarky.  I guess each child is different.  Pray for us!  (only mildly kidding...)
Currently reading::::
Rather than reading "Dead Drift" as I mentioned last week, I decided to pick up a Non-Fiction from my TBR shelf to see if that can get me back into reading a bit.  "Beloved Mess" is interesting so far and rather short.  Here's hoping!
Happy Homemaker Monday ~ 10/21/19
Come join Diary of a SAHM for Happy Homemaker Monday.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The weather outside is::::

The temperatures have taken a major dip into the low 30's at night.  I even had to defrost my car on Saturday morning before going to my WW Workshop.

On my breakfast plate:

English Muffin, Vanilla Chai Tea

As I look around the house::::

Saturday was "work around the house" day at our house so I'm feeling pretty good with how it looks.  It just feels better knowing that everything is nice and clean also.

On today's to do list::::

I need to make a menu and grocery list for the week before going for groceries tomorrow.

I also need to sweep the floors.  AGAIN!  I'd almost swear that I could make a small dog out of all the hair I sweep up every other day.

Happening this week::::

Devotions:  I missed a few days last week as I wasn't feeling very well.  I'll be getting back on track this week though.

WW:  I lost 21.4 lbs so far on WW.  I lost 1 lb again this week!  WW is going to be rolling out some new plans November 11th, so if you've been thinking of joining, it would be a good time.

Exercise:  I failed, majorly, with getting my exercise this past week.  This week, however, I'm feeling better and I've scheduled exercise time on my calendar.  I think mixing up my exercise routing a bit will help.  Some days I'll go to Planet Fitness, other days a Leslie Sansone DVD and when it is nice out I hope to walk outside.

Housework:  I mentioned above that we accomplished a lot this weekend, so I just need to keep up on the day-to-day maintenance.

Bills:  Not a pay week.

Doug:  Douglas actually let me take him to the Dr on Friday.  (He must have really been feeling poorly!)  Turns out he had bronchitis and the dr. fixed him up with some meds.  He's feeling much better now :)

Kaylee:  Kaylee had a little spaz-out on Friday.  She took a Financial Accounting test and thought for sure that she failed!  She ended up getting an 84%!  As her daddy likes to tell her:  "C's get degrees!"

Laken:  Tonight is Laken's last Volleyball game for the season!  Whoohoo!  I love watching her play but I need a break from driving 30 minutes one-way to pick her up from practice and games each night.

Side note, my puppy Kona decided to get the book off my bedside table and chew it.  Luckily, she only got the bottom corner and it is still able to be read.
