1.  Are you planning to take a vacation anytime soon?  Please share!

The hubby has the week of July 4th off of work.  We'll be staying close to home with a few day trips and camping for a few nights.

2.  Have you recently gone on vacation?  Tell us all about it!

No.  No vacations here :(

3.  What is your favorite way to travel?

I absolutely LOVE road trips.  Give me a car (or van) and a map (or GPS) and I'm good to go :)  I love that I can stop anytime, anywhere I want and see the sites!

4.  If money were no object, where would you go and why?

I've always wanted to see Ireland, Scotland and England.

5.  Who would be your favorite person (living or dead) to take on vacation?

The hubby, hands down!

6.  What do you absolutely have to pack when you go on vacation?

My meds!

7.  What are your memories of your all time favorite vacation?

For our 10th Anniversary, we took a road trip to Niagara Falls, NY.  We stopped and stayed the night in Erie then drove up the coast of Lake Erie and then Lake Ontario.  We rented a bungalow right on Lake Ontario.  I was a great trip :)

8.  Where would you never ever go on vacation and why?

South America.  It is scary!

9.  What is the worst thing you ever experienced on vacation?

I can't really think of a "worst" thing.  Maybe the downpours while we were at Disney World.

10.  What is the best thing that ever happened to you on vacation?

Watching my girls get to enjoy themselves :)

MAY 2022

What We're Eating:

We've been grilling a lot lately.  Mostly burgers, hot dogs, pork chops and chicken.  My Dad grilled THE BEST pork chops.  He's the grill master around here ;)

What I'm Reminiscing About:

This month was Mother's Day and I spent time reminiscing about my grandmother, aka Gram.  Even though it has will be 20 years this August since she passed away, this is still hard to write without tearing up.  I miss her so much!  Here is Gram with her beloved rose bush.  Wasn't she beautiful?

What I'm Loving:

I'm loving the fact that this is Laken's (youngest daughter) last week of school work!  Summer, HERE WE COME!

What We've Been Up To:

Nothing but schoolwork around here!  Laken was sick (Lactose Intolerant) for most of the school year and ended up being Cyber Schooled.  She got behind from all dr's appointments and just being sick in and of itself.  After we figured out the whole "Lactose" situation, she's been pulling double over-time to finish up her work on time.  She's worked so hard and I'm super proud of her.  But that means we haven't had much time to do anything else.  Come Friday, we're going to PARTY!

What I'm Dreading:

I go to my dr. on June 3rd for my annual check up.  Enough said...

What I'm Working On:

I'm working on a new granny square afghan that I'm calling Sunny Blue Hawaii 2 :)  You can read more about it and how it got it's name HERE.

What I'm Excited About:

Did I mention this is the last week of Laken's school?????   :) :) :)

What I'm Watching/Reading:

I haven't been watching much of anything lately but we are going to the movies to see the new Top Gun movie, Maverick, on Friday.  It will be the first I've been to the theater since before March 2020!

This month I've read the following books and I'm currently reading "Fourth and Long" by Liz Isaacson.

What I'm Listening To:

What I'm Doing This Weekend:

Going to see "Maverick" at the theater and possibly going to the local amusement park on Saturday.

~ Happy New Year's Eve Eve!  I love New Year's Eve and New Year's Day as much as I love Christmas :)  Christmas is wonderful but New Year's is full of fresh calendars and new beginnings.  A chance to start over...again!  A new year full of possibilities!  May YOUR New Year be filled with God's blessings :)

~Audrey Belle!  Speaking of God's blessings...Audrey Belle made her appearance on December 23rd!  My very special cousin, Brian, and his wife, Rachel, welcomed her at 3:01pm.  I haven't met her personally yet but she's beautiful :)

~Goodreads Challenge 2021!  I met my goal for the Goodreads Challenge but it was a pitifully low number.  I read just 12 books in 2021.  But, I've been reading away the past few weeks and am excited about the Kindred Readers Book Club.  I think I'll set my goal for 2022 at 52 books.  1 book per week.  I think I can.  I think I can! :)

~The Love of Reading!  Laken received the Percy Jackson book collection for Christmas.  This girl would spend ALL her time reading if we let her.  I love it!

A Book Club For 2022???? ~ An Update

 

Bev @ BeverleyABaird has stepped forward to help me start a Book Club!!!!

We're still brainstorming and hashing out ideas but the plan is to start in January 2022.

We're most likely going to have a Facebook Group for the Book Club so be watching for that information soon!
