Thankful Thursday ~ 1/7/2021

Here are some things that made me thankful/smile/excited this week:

~~~~~~~~
~A New Beginning! ~ I know, technically, it is just another day but New Year's Day is always exciting for me.  A fresh start.  A new year.  A new beginning :)  Happy 2021!!!
~Back to Routine!  Monday we started back to our normal routines.  (As normal as possible, anyway :)  Doug and Kaylee went back to work.  Laken went back to virtual school and I went back to peace and quiet as I go about my normal everyday tasks :)  Don't get me wrong; I love having them home.  But...eventually we all have to get back at it :)
~Bible Verses In My Planner!  Planners that I've had in the past included Bible verses weekly.  My current planner does not.  I saw someone on facebook calling on her friends to tell their favorite Bible verse so she could add it to her planner on a weekly basis and also include prayer for that particular friend of the week.  I loved the idea!  As of the time I write this, I still need 20 more verses to complete the year of 2021.  I would love it if you would add your favorite Bible verse to your comment.  I'm hoping to fill all 52 weeks :)
~LoseIt! LoseIt! is an app that I am now using to count my calories, keep track of my food intake and my exercise.  MyWW was just too expensive.  I can subscribe to Premium LoseIt! for 1/6 of the price of MyWW.  So far I'm loving it!  Counting calories is so much easier than points :)
~School Starting Back???  I got a notice from Laken's school that a January 19th is the "tentative" start back date for the hybrid in-school classes.  So Laken will "possibly" be going TO school on January 19th.  It will still be every other week in school alternating with virtual weeks.  Laken has mixed emotions.  So do I...
What are you thankful for/smiling/exited about this week?  Tell me all the good stuff!
P.S. I love for you to stop by MY SHOP and give it some love!
  1. Psalm 19:14, KJV: "Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer." That is my life verse, first shared with me from my mother. She wrote it in my little "autograph book" that I got for my 10th birthday, and it has stuck with me all these years. I use it as my key verse on my blog. I am thankful for the heritage my mother gave to me. Yesterday was her 104th birthday (now in heaven), and I am so thankful for having had such a wonderful mother. I like your idea of having people share their Bible verses. I hope this one helps!
  2. I always put a verse in my planner, but what a cool idea to get verses from your readers and friends. My verse for the year (to go with my word) is John 10:10.
    "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly."
  3. Love this idea. I love "Isaiah 41:10 which goes with my word for the year which is FEARLESS. "Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. I will uphold you with My righteous right hand." NKJV
  5. OHHHH - you'll need to share with us your Bible verses for your planner - that just makes me want to put a new one in my planner each week! You should do a link up with that when I do the planner post every 3rd Wednesday of the month.
