Grab a cup of tea, coffee, hot chocolate or your favorite drink
while I share a few things that made me smile this week :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~It is Homecoming Week in our small town!  Go Hornets!!!!! :)
~Monday was picture day for the girls!  It was so nice to see them both dressed in something other than a t-shirt and jeans :)
~I think I'm over my reading slump!  It took a murder mystery to do it :)
~My Mom and I made Cream Puff Cake for our weekly baking session together!  Love my Mom and Cream Puff Cake :)
  1. Nice post. Have to ask - which murder-mystery did it? Picture days...sigh...seems so long ago! I don't miss driving and trying to park when picking up kids from school!
    Happy Five on Friday
  3. These are nice thoughts about your week. I wish I could bake with my own mom, but that's not something we ever did together (except when I was very young). It seems like a really sweet thing to do. I DO however, bake with my 18 year old son, and we have lots of fun as "chefs". Thanks for stopping by mine, and have a great weekend!
  8. I love reading mystery books...thrillers, such as those that Dan Brown has had published.
    Your post looks so very scrumptious.
    Thanks so much for the condolences of our losing Winston!! Much appreciated.
  10. Hello Collettakay. I've come visit you from Five on Friday link-up. Thank you for visiting me and leaving a comment. I had to do some research to find out about Homecoming and the Hornets. I hope your girls had a good week and the Hornets do well this season! How lovely to be able to cook with your Mom. The cream puff cake looks good. Happy October and happy reading!
  11. I love the idea of a baking day with mom. As my mom has passed, perhaps I should do this with a friend. Things shared are twice the fun.
    I've never heard of cream puff cake, but I see that it's highlighted, so I'll take a look. Love trying new recipes.
    Happy week to you, Collettakay. Is that your real name? I'm Patsy Kaye (my dad's idea to add the e).
