Teaser Tuesday ~ 9/4/12

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.

Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title &; author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Here's my teaser for this week:

Be Still My Soul: A Novel

~The night air brushed her arms, and Lonnie prayed autumn's cool breath could whisk her off--carry her into another life.  Lord, help me.   She looked up at her pa and forced a tight smile.  With his broad back to the moonlit sky, his scruffy face was hidden beneath the shadow of a floppy hat.  Chestnut hair swirled against her cheeks, and she blinked, willing the breeze to calm her nerves.~

  1. Beautiful description in your teaser. I'm curious about why she's nervous and why she wants to be carried off into another life.
