~Her gaze traveled up the magnificent stairs, and her breath caught in her throat as she took in the splendor of it all. Just as the purser had said, the glass-domed ceiling had a heavenly appearance. The polished oak wall paneling glistened, a happy candidate for the streams of sunlight pouring in from above. Truly, the whole thing felt like some sort of heavenly gift, a pinch from a falling star, equal in brightness and beauty.~

ReplyDeleteWow, I can almost see the stairs and glass-domed ceiling. I saw this book, but I still cry when I hear the song from the Titanic movie and do not think I could get emotionally attached to another character who dies..LOL So let me know if the main character lives, and how many boxes of tissues you needed..because i do love historical fiction.

ReplyDeleteAs soon as I saw "purser", I wondered if this was a Titanic novel. Somehow I don't think she's in for a very relaxing trip across the Atlantic!
