The NFL regular season started this past week. Even though my team lost last night, I decided to go with a list of songs to honor the opening of the season.
"Top 10 Stadium Songs"
(per Linda Nickerson)
1. "Centerfield" by John Fogerty
2. "Eye of the Tiger" by Survivor
3. "Get Ready for This" by 2Unlimited
4. "Hey, Hey Goodbye" by Steam
5. "Shout" by Isley Brothers
6. "Start Me Up" by The Rolling Stones
7. "This Is How We Do It" by Montell Jordan
8. "We are the Champions" by Queen
9. "Whoomp! There It Is" by Tag Team
10. "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet" by Bachman Turner Overdrive
Are there any songs that you think should have made it to the Top 10 but didn't? What about "Wildthing"!?!?!
Have fun!
I've been meaning to add Eye Of The Tiger to my running playlist! Thanks for the reminder:)
ReplyDeleteYou nailed the Stadium Songs! Eye of the Tiger, and We are the Champions...Love those!
ReplyDeleteI love this list! Totally nailed it. The Steam song is actually titled "Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye". I'd add one more "Rock and Roll Pt. 2" by Gary Glitter (also known as The Hey Song). Totally overplayed, but it does get the crowd going.
ReplyDeleteCenterfield. Great song and thinking about it puts me in the sunshine in the grandstands. Fun list.
ReplyDeleteFun spin on the list and great songs too!
ReplyDeleteGreat list! I had one team lose (Panthers, I was disappointed but not surpised) and one team win (the Cowboys- surprised but not disappointed). LOL
ReplyDeleteEye of the Tiger will always be on my favorites list. My kids (11, 9 and 5) know all of the words and can sing it like they mean it.
ReplyDeleteGreat take on this week's topic! Eye of the Tiger is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteGreat List! My husband was just singing We Are The Champions to me in the car LOL
ReplyDeleteGreat twist on the Listicles. Start me up will get me in a stadium mood in first five seconds!!
