Read, Crochet, Repeat ~ 4/10/13

My current read and project are:

Right now, my crochet project is a "Baseball Beanie".  I still have to sew the "stitches" on the sides and then add the braids on the earflaps.  Then, I have the matching diaper cover to crochet.  Hopefully, this will get finished today while sitting on the deck.  What glorious weather!

I just finished reading "A Noble Groom" by Jody Hedlund this morning.  It was such a great, fun read.  Next, I'll be reading "Josiah's Treasure" by Nancy Herriman for a blog tour that will run 4/15-4/18.  I hope you'll stop back for my review then!  Here's the description:

My current read and project are:

I have two more rows to crochet to finish this granny triangle shawl.  I'm using Red Heart with Love in Blue Tones.  I am loving the 'with Love' yarns!  This is probably the 5th or 6th shawl I've made with this pattern.   It is so easy!  I'm not sure what I'll work on next.  I might start getting more items ready for the new shop opening up the street that is going to display some of my work for sale!  whohoo!   So excited about that.

I'm about halfway through "Sweet Sanctuary" by Kim Vogel Sawyer.  Kim always writes great books and this one is shaping up to keep the run going.  I'm just starting to get to the action :)

My current read and project are:

I'm reading "The House that Love Built" by Beth Wiseman.  I've read many books by Beth but most have been Amish.  So far, I'm really enjoying getting to know the characters and the town is supposedly where the movie "Hope Floats" was filmed.  I look forward to digging in deeper.

Today, I started a Twisty Scarf in Red Heart "Mexicana".  It is bright and vibrant.  Just what I needed to get my spirits lifted in this dreary start to Spring.

Today, I was so excited to find a bloggy party that combines two of my loves:  reading and yarn!  Ginny @ Small Things holds a weekly Wednesday gathering where we can show off what project we are working on as well as what book we are reading.  So fun!

While most of the participants are knitters, I'll be representing the crocheters :)

My current read and project are:

I'm about a third of the way through "Love Finds You in Glacier Bay Alaska".  I've read many of the "Love Finds You In" books and I got this one to read in exchange for a review.

Ginny is a budding singer who is getting ready to sign a major contract deal.  It will be a very big commitment and she feels the need to get advice her former fiance, Brett, who lives in Glacier Bay.  When she gets to Glacier Bay,  Brett is out on a camping trip and Ginny ends up staying for a few days with Brett's grandmother instead of at the small town's only motel.  Brett has just gotten back from his trip, so we'll see what happens when he finds out that Ginny is in town...

My current project is a baby cocoon made from Lionbrand Homespun yarn in "Pearl" using an "L" hook.  I've made so many of these that I don't even need a pattern any more!  I originally purchased the pattern from www.busymomdesigns.com .

I worked on this last evening while watching "Trouble With the Curve".  The movie was good but the language was a bit rough.  I only have 3 more rows to go but I was just so tired that I stopped when the movie ended.  I'll finish it up today.

This is  picture of a cocoon I made for a photographer in "Parfait".  They are so much cuter when there is a precious baby snuggled inside :)  I love receiving pictures of my items in use.
