My Thoughts:
I've loved other books I've read by Lisa Harris, so I was excited to dig into "Vendetta" the first book in "The Nikki Boyd Files".
I flew through this book! It was so suspenseful and dramatic that I couldn't stop reading until I found out if Nikki found the missing girl alive! And, no, I'm not telling!
The front of the book says, "The First 48 Hours Are the Most Critical" and I'm amazed that the whole book took place within those 48 hours without feeling rushed.
I loved how piece-by-piece the author brought about the mystery and the solution to the story with just the barest hint of a romance at the very end.
This book left me wanting to read more which is a very good sign with a series. I want to know more about Nikki and where her story goes next.
