I picked up 2 skeins of this Red Heart Boutique Unforgettable in Stained Glass because I thought the colors were beeaauuttiful! I didn't really have a project in mind for it but that didn't stop me. hehe
I did some searching through the patterns on Ravelry and came across this Granny Square Cowl by Crocheting with Raymond. I love me some granny squares and thought the colors of the yarn would work up beautifully in granny squares.
I wasn't wrong! I love how the squares turned out. So pretty! My daughter, Kaylee, is my model :)
I made it 7 squares of 8 rounds so that it would be long enough to wrap around the neck or let hang free.
I crocheted the edging as suggested in the pattern and love how it turned out.
However, I did NOT love this yarn. I loved the color and the color changes but the texture was hard to work with. It was thinner than I'm used to and was easily knotted. I don't think I'll be buying any more of this yarn.
I WILL be making more Granny Square Cowls though :)
Please leave me a comment with a link so I can return the visit!!
