Chats on the Porch ~ 1/29/13

This week's questions are:

1. Have you ever been on a boat? (Motor boat, sail boat, cruise ship, ark, or Good Ship Lollipop)

Let's see.  I was on a canoe at 5th Grade Camp.  We rented a pontoon boat one summer while on vacation at the lake.  AND I rode the "Maid of the Mist" at Niagara Falls!  That was so much fun!

2. Do you need an alarm to wake up in the morning, or do you wake up naturally? If you have an alarm, tell us what type.

Most of the time I need an alarm.  Lately, though I've been waking up at 5am everyday!  Arghh!  Stinkin' anxiety!  My alarms is just a normal, run-of-the-mill clock radio.  I have it set to music.  I HATE that beeping noise.

3. Have you ever had a yard sale?

Once.  It felt so weird to have people I know going through our stuff and deciding if they wanted it or not.  Never again!  We usually give to Goodwill.

4. Do you like kitchen gadgets? What are some of your favorite?

I love my Pampered Chef Ice Cream Scoop.  Best scoop ever!  I also loved my Pampered Chef Pizza Cutter but it went missing.  I think it might have gotten thrown out inside a pizza box :(

5. Do you read labels at the grocery store?

Not usually.  The only time I really look now is when I buy my low-fat snacks or if I'm buying something sugar-free for my Dad.  Even though it is sugar-free, you still have to check the carbs.

Let's chat and get to know one another!

Have a great day!

  2. I've heard the Niagra Falls boat trip is fun. I like some of the Pampered Chef things. They don't take the beating that I give to kitchen things, but I like them while they last. Have a great week!

  4. I have that scoop, but I don't like it. I think I ruined it long time ago when I left it in the dishwasher. Shhh, don't tell anyone. :)

  7. "Maid of the Mist" sounds so exotic. I bet it was fun to be there at the Falls. I've never been. The farthest north I've been is Norfolk, Virginia and that is still technically in the South. :)

I enjoyed your post. Have a great week!

  9. Seems everyone has something from pampered chefs. I don't think I have ever known anyone who sold their products.

  11. I would love to visit Niagara Falls and ride the Maid of the Mist. I give a lot to Goodwill also. We live in an area that doesn't get traffic so a yard sale would most likely be a bust.
