Saturday 9 ~ Star Spangled Banner ~ 5/24/14

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Star Spangled Banner
1) Are you a veteran? Are there veterans in your family? (We are grateful and want to hear about it.)
I'm not a veteran but my Dad is.  He was stationed in Germany during Vietnam.
2) Memorial Day also kicks off the summer season. What's your favorite picnic food?
Dessert!!
3) Let's celebrate the Memorial Day holiday with ice cream. What's your favorite flavor?
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough :)  Yummy....
4) This marks the weekend when Americans step up their outdoor activity and do things they may not have been able to do during the winter months. For example, when is the last time you rode a bike?
Last summer.  I haven't gotten my bike out of the shed yet this year.
5) Or went hiking?
Today.
6) Or rode a horse?
Never :(
7) Or toasted a marshmallow?
Last summer!
8) As you answer these questions, is there an air conditioner or window fan on?
No, not right now, but there will be soon.
9) Crazy Sam needs your help: What song or a performer would you like to see featured in a Saturday 9 this summer?
How about some Country?
Happy Saturday!
I'd love for you to come Like my Facebook Page!  Pretty please?
  1. You're right, there haven't been many country songs on Saturday 9.
  2. I'd be okay with some old country, like Dolly Parton or Loretta Lynn. Maybe a little Shania. Time to get that bike out! It's beautiful here in Virginia.
  3. I agree that dessert is the best part of a picnic!
  4. I dont seem to listen to much music anymore as all the new stars are not really singing country, try to catch the awards and hope for some of the older singers like Merle Haggard to be there.
    Your beginning with Whitney is great-that woman had a great voice-sad she died young.
    My son was in the navy...Hubby is career army guy before I met him-23 yrs, Uncle was devoted Army loved to talk the old war stories...I am grateful for all our enlisted and retired military. Big Hurrah....
  7. I remember going nuts on CCC dough ice cream once when I was pregnant. Probably not the smartest thing to have done.
