I don't know about you, but I am eagerly anticipating the end of the school year. I'm burnt out on fighting the kids to get up in the morning and out the door. I also won't be missing the homework each evening.
Each year, I like to give my daughter's teacher a homemade gift to show appreciation. This year I saw these cute Teacher Gift Jars over at www.mommyskitchen.net .
What you'll need:
1 Glass jar
1 Large bag of M&M's
1-2 pieces of scrapbook paper
twine, ribbon or yarn
fancy scissors
Print off from Mommy's Kitchen
Pour the M&M's in to the jar. Refrain from eating them yourself.
Trace around the canning lid onto pretty paper.
Cut it out and put the jar lid, paper and ring on to the jar.
Use the fancy scissors to cut around the poem.
Paste the poem onto pretty paper.
Punch two holes side-by-side in the top corner of the poem.
Wrap twine/ribbon/yarn around the jar and then through the poem. Tie it in a bow.
Laken has her main teacher and a teacher's assistant, so I made 2.

That is such a cute idea. I dont have any kids at home any more and sure wish I could have been that creative when they were at home.
