Movie Review: "The Princess and the Frog"

The Princess and the Frog (Single Disc Widescreen)

Movie Description:

Disney celebrates a modern-day classic from the directors of The Little Mermaid and Aladdin. Discover what really happened after the princess kissed the frog in an inspired twist on the world's most famous kiss. This hilarious adventure leaps off the screen with stunning animation, irresistible music and an unforgettable cast of characters.

Enter Princess Tiana's world of talking frogs, singing alligators and lovesick fireflies as she embarks on an incredible journey through the mystical bayous of Louisiana. Spurred on by a little bit of courage and a great big dream, these new friends come to realize what's truly important in life...love, family and friendship.

My Thoughts:

This was a cute movie with great music and lyrics.  There were so many great songs but I especially love the "Evangline" song!

There are funny parts and sad parts as any good movie will have.  This one is definitely in the top Disney movies that have recently been released.

I wasn't thrilled with the whole "Other Side" and the "Shadowman".  It always bugs me when they put things like that into movies that are supposed to be for kids.  Anymore, a parent needs to screen a movie before letting their children watch it no matter what the rating to type or movie it is.  Sad...

We enjoyed this movie together as a family and the kids have watched it many, many times this week.

A cute spin on the classic fairy tale.
