One of my "plans" for 2023 is to spend 15 minutes a day stitching. That might entail sewing, quilting, crocheting anything else I might come up with. I'll be joining in with Kate @ Life in Pieces.
I decided for this first week of 2023 that it would probably be a good idea to actually spend some time organizing my crafting area and see just what projects I have on the go (aka WIPS). I have Monday, January 2nd, off work for the New Year holiday, so I'm hoping to make this my main priority for the day.
I thought it might be fun to show some BEFORE pictures of my area. Now, keep in mind that I haven't hardly touched this area in the past 5 months or so except to pile stuff up! Be gentle!
Next week I hope to show you a nicely organized area, have a list of my current WIPS and show you progress that I've made on my stitching.
What are you stitching this week?
Looks great Colletta - lots of opportunity for "after" pictures! My area looks much the same after the busy lead up to the holidays. I am going to be doing some prep today to help me get my January goals underway - I find that if I can get things ready so that I can jump right into working on them when I have time, that works much better. Have a great day off!ReplyDelete
Lots of crafty goodness in your workspace. I like how you have little bins and baskets to help you keep organized. Looking forward to seeing your after photos Sunny Blue Hawaii is looking fabulous. So cheerful Happy New Year.ReplyDelete
It's just so easy to add to a growing pile. Hopefully you make good progress with your clean up today. Good luck with your goal to stitch each day. Hopefully the linky party adds some motivation and accountability. That always helps me. Happy 2023!ReplyDelete
I will be spending part of this Monday doing the same thing.....organizing my craft area and seeing what projects need to be worked on. Your area looks a lot like mine. I can't see my sewing machine table. I think I may join that 15 minute linky party as I usually get at least that much done each morning.ReplyDelete
I hope you make a lot of progress today. I've been trying to do 15 minutes of clean up every day but not enough progress has been made. I may have to up my game, so to speak. Sunny Blue Hawaii looks great. May you make great progress on it.ReplyDelete
Good luck with your organization of the craft area. It can be quite a challenge, but always find it so satisfying when you are done! Happy New Year! Thanks for participating in Sew & Tell :)ReplyDelete
There's nothing more fun to me than cleaning and organizing the sewing room, but only when I don't feel time crunched! I like your pretty afghan squares.ReplyDelete
Your afghan squares are so bright and beautiful Colletta! It's so easy to just let things go until you can't stand it anymore...at least that seems to be my MO! LOL Have fun organizing and I know you will love it afterward! Thanks for linking up with Monday Musings!ReplyDelete
I need to organize my sewing space too. Maybe it would be easier to start projects if I knew where everything is. Looking forward to seeing your organized space.ReplyDelete
Piles are good!! that means things stayed together and are ready for you to dig in!!! Have fun!ReplyDelete
Your crochet squares make me think of my mother. She rationed herself to one square a night so that she could have something special to end her day. - MargyReplyDelete
