Weekly Weigh-In ~ #2 ~ 1/11/2023

This week I only exercised 3/7 days :(  I really need to work on better time management to get everything I want to accomplish in a day to fit into 24 hours.

I managed to eke out time for 3/7 days of exercise.  Two of those days I got on the treadmill.  Sunday I went outside (bundled up, of course) and got some fresh air while I walked.  My new "fitness tracker" watch came and I've been very aware of how little I'm moving each day.

I really, really don't want do give up my journey this time.  I guess the beginning of a journey can sometimes be the hardest.  The planning, the prep, the getting started and then keeping momentum.  I just feel like I lost my momentum this week and it showed on the scale :(

As always, my tracking week is Monday through Sunday.  Here are some stats:

Exercise Week #1:

1/2/2023 - Monday ~ 30 minutes treadmill

1/3/2023 - Tuesday ~ 30 minutes treadmill

1/8/2023 - Sunday ~ 30 minutes walking outside

This Week's Total:  90 minutes

2023 Grand Total:  240 minutes

Weigh in #2:

Highest Weight ~ 300.6 lbs

Last Week's Weight ~ 1/2/2023 ~ 286.2 lbs.

This Week's Weight ~ 1/9/2023 ~ 287.2 lbs.

This Week's Total:  +1.0 lbs

Grand Total: -13.4 lbs

Weekly Weigh-In ~ 12/29/2022 ~ Baseline Week #0

Here I go again!  I'm back with health, fitness and weight goals!

If you've followed my blog for long, you've heard it all before so I won't bore you.  At least not today :)

Needless to say, I'm "starting" once again.  I decided to do a baseline weigh-in on Monday.  Yes, the day after Christmas is when I decided it would be a good time to kick start my "Journey".

My plan is to do my actual weigh-in on Monday mornings and then post my results each Wednesday.

With no further a-do, here's my baseline:

Weigh in #0:

Highest Weight ~ 300.0 lbs

This Week's Weight ~ 12/26/2022 ~ 287.8 lbs.

Weekly Weigh In ~ My Journey to Lose 150 lbs. ~ Week #0 ~ 2/10/2021

Once again (for the bazillionth time), I'm starting on a weight loss journey.  I have about 150 lbs to lose in order to be in a healthy weight range if the chart below is to be believed.  I'm 5'2" so the high end of the chart says I should weigh 144 lbs.  That is just a little bit shy of half my current size!

My first mini-goal is to get below 280 lbs.  I think my mini-goals are going to be in 5 lb increments to keep me focused.

I'll be weighing in on Fridays and posting my results the following Wednesday.  If you'd like to join in on the journey, I'd love to have some weight loss friends and support!

Feel free to use the "Weekly Weigh In" graphic and create your own post with as much (or as little) info as you are comfortable sharing and leave a link in the comments.  Or you can just report your results in the comments.

This week I'm using as my "baseline" and just filling in the basic starting info.

Weigh in #0:

Highest Weight ~ 296.4 lbs

Starting Weight ~ 2/5/2021 ~ 285.4 lbs

Weekly Weigh In ~ Week 4 ~ WW Freestyle

My goal for August is to lose 3% of my starting weight which is 8.8 lbs.  I've lost 11 lbs so far in August!  That's right!  11 lbs in 3 weeks!  Whoohoo!

My Daily Smart Points stayed the same for this week at 31 points.  I'm learning how to plan out my meals for the day and stay within my points.  The great thing about WW is that I can eat ANYTHING I want--in moderation.  I don't have to deprive myself of pizza.  I just have to budget my eating for the day around that 1 or 2 slices I want to eat.

My Fit Point goal is still set to 52 points.  Once again, I squeezed by my goal by 1 Fit Point for a total of 53.  I've mainly been sticking to cardio dance and aerobics.  I was looking around on youtube for some exercise videos and found a ton of old school classics:  Leslie Sansone, Denise Austin, Gilad....etc.  I like varying my exercise routine so that I don't get sick and tired of the same thing all the time, which I do very quickly.

Now,

On to the weigh in:

Starting Weight ~ 7/27/19 ~ 290.8 lbs

Last Week's Weight ~ 8/10/19 ~ 281.2 lbs

This Week's Weight ~ 8/17/19 ~ 279.8 lbs

This Week's Total:  -1.4 lbs

Grand Total: -11.0 lbs

I was excited to get my 10 lbs charm at my WW workshop.  My next mini-goal is 275.0 lbs.

I'll be weighing in on Saturdays and posting my results on Wednesday.  If you'd like to join in on the journey, I'd love to have some weight loss friends!

Weekly Weigh In ~ Week 3 ~ WW Freestyle

My goal for August is to lose 3% of my starting weight which is 8.8 lbs.  As you'll see below, I've already met that goal.  Now my goal is to keep on keeping on to see just how much I can lose in August!

When I input my new weight into the WW App, they took my daily points down to 31 total.  That is only a difference of 2 smart points per day so I think I should be able to handle it pretty well this week.  I do worry that the more I lose, the less daily points I'll get.  I'll just have to adjust as I go.

My Fit Point goal is still set to 52 points.  I once again met my goal with a total of 53 Fit Points for the week.  I've been doing a mixture of Leslie Sansone's Walking DVD's, The Firm Cardio Dance and walking outside.  I get the most bang for my buck with the Cardio Dance but I'm still learning the moves.  I'm glad no one with watching when I exercise to it!

On to the weigh in:

Starting Weight ~ 7/27/19 ~ 290.8 lbs

Last Week's Weight ~ 8/3/19 ~ 285.6 lbs

This Week's Weight ~ 8/10/19 ~ 281.2 lbs

This Week's Total:  -4.4 lbs

Grand Total: -9.6 lbs

I'll be weighing in on Saturdays and posting my results on Wednesday.  If you'd like to join in on the journey, I'd love to have some weight loss friends!

Weekly Weigh In ~ Week 1 ~ WW Freestyle

My last Weekly Weigh In was in January.  Since then I've gained weight instead of losing.

After some self-evaluation, I decided that I do best when I'm following the WW (formerly known as Weight Watchers) plan and using the WW tools (trackers, points, Connect, etc.).

So on July 27, 2019 I decided to rejoin WW and attended my first workshop (formerly known as meeting).  I'm counting it as Week 1 because I feel that with a new start, I need a clean slate.

I'm going to be brave and put my actual weight out there.  It took me a long time to be comfortable doing so.  I now believe that I'm much more than a number on the scale  :)

On to the weigh in:

Starting Weight ~ 7/27/19 ~ 290.8 lbs

I'll be weighing in on Saturdays and posting my results on Wednesday.  If you'd like to join in on the journey from the beginning, I'd love to have some weight loss friends!

Weekly Weigh In ~ 2/2/19

Just a little recap:  Kaylee and I joined Planet Fitness on Wednesday!  It is about 35 minutes from our house so we're planning on making the trip at least 3 times per week.  It will usually be on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

We started out modestly with 2.5 miles on Wednesday and 2.5 miles on Friday.  (Our schedule was mixed up this past week.)  Ultimately, I' d like to get up to 5 miles per workout.  (2 on the treadmill and 3 on the recumbent bike.)

***Side note:  We made a quick stop at Wal-Mart this morning for Kaylee to get some "gym pants".  Why are those things so expensive?  We ended up lucking out and finding some on clearance for $5!  That's right, $5!  As for me, my "gym pants' are getting worn but I refuse to buy new until I'm in a smaller size.  Please, Lord, let me get into a smaller size soon!***

Diet

Today is Laken's 12th birthday so we ate at Cracker Barrel and made her a birthday cake.  Yes, I could have done without the side of mac-n-cheese but what's done is done...

Sunday's are a pretty low-key eating day for me.  I just hope that when getting back onto my regular schedule Monday I can stay on track and have some discipline.  I have got to stay out of THE JUNK FOOD and away from snacking!!!

I've been really good with not drinking any soda (or as we call it, pop).  I've even gotten to the point that I crave water like I used to crave Diet Dr. Pepper!

Weekly Weigh In ~ 1/12/19

Well, my grand start to the New Year has not been so grand :(:

I turns out that just because the calendar changes, bad habits don't magically disappear.

My word for the year is discipline and I confess that I have not had much discipline so far this year.  I hope to change that.

Persistence; not perfection.

Weekly Weigh In ~ 12/29/18

My goal for the past couple weeks was to maintain.  I'm fairly pleased that I only gained a smidge over Christmas.

My plan for 2019:

My plan for 2019 is to lose 50 lbs.  1 lb. per week.  That's what I'm striving for!

I'm going to be using www.sparkpeople.com to track my food and exercise.  It is very much like WW online but FREE!

Food:  My plan is to cut out snacking and junk food and only eat at meal times and have the occasional cheese stick for snack.

Exercise:  I'd like to try to get at least 4 workouts in using the Leslie Sansone walking DVD collection that I've added to over the years.  I'll start out "walking" 2 miles which takes approximately 25-30 minutes.

Weekly Weigh-In ~ 12/1/18

I did decidedly better this week on the eating front.  I drank my Slim Fast shakes for breakfast and lunch about 75% of the time.  I tried to work on my portion control at supper and limit my snacking.  Snacking is still something I need work on but I'm trying to keep it to cheese and crackers.

As for exercise, I've been trying to rest my heel and the Plantar Fasciitis is ever so slowly easing up.  Today I want to try to ease back into some exercise.  I'll probably try to do 1 mile with a Leslie Sansone DVD but if it hurts, I'll back off.

I'm still drinking plenty of water and haven't had a single drop of pop this week.  I like the fact that I'm not dependent upon caffeine to wake up and get through the day.  I actually find myself craving water now!

Weekly Weigh In ~ 11/24/18

I'll be honest with you.

I've been stinking up the place as far as diet and exercise has been going :(

I've fell off the "5 to Thrive" wagon and hit the dirt hard.  The only thing I've continued to do is drink my water instead of pop.  So, I guess that is a positive!

As far as exercise is going, it isn't.  I woke up a few weeks back with excruciating pain in my right heel.  I  hobbled around for a couple weeks before finally going to the doctor.  The diagnosis is Plantar Fasciitis.  I've been following the dr's suggestions and it is feeling better.  Hopefully, I'll be able to start slowly exercising soon.

In the meantime, as of today I'm back to the "5 to Thrive" principles.

If you're wondering what exactly the "5 to Thrive" is all here is a graphic that outlines the plan:

Weekly Weigh In ~ 6/9/18

I'm excited to say that I lost 2.4 lbs this week!

I'm excited because I did it WITHOUT Weight Watchers!  That's right.  I've cancelled my Weight Watchers subscription.  I thought about it for a while before taking the steps to cancel but in the end, I just couldn't justify spending $45 a month just to weigh-in.

So instead, I got a notebook and have been keeping track of my eating and exercise each day along with a journal entry about my day.

In truth, I'm surprised that I lost because I've been not so great on the eating front and only exercised 3-4 days this week but something must have gone right!

I'm hoping to get a little more on point with my eating AND snacking (major downfall for me) this week.

How did you do this week?

Over my blogging break, I kinda took a break from diet and exercise also.  And it showed up on the scale today with a 4 lb gain over the last two weeks.  Yikes!

But, I have a plan in place and will be starting fresh tomorrow.  I'll let you know more about my plan in future posts, but I've made some changes.

Saturday Weigh-In ~ 4/28/18

I missed posting last week's weigh-in results so I want to get up-to-date with that before getting into this week's weigh-in.

At the 4/21/18 weigh-in, I had lost 0.8 lbs...  But that meant I had lost 5 lbs in two weeks!  I had to tell myself this so I would be disappointed too badly.

Now on to this week:

I lost another 0.8 lbs.

I was rather happy with this due to the fact that I ate pizza twice this week and ended up using all my daily points, weekly points and even some of my fitpoints!

I'm only 0.6 lbs away from having lost 10 lbs in 1 month.  That is exciting!  I really hope to reach that 10 lb mark this week.  I am excited that I've lost a bit over 30 lbs from my highest weight!

Somehow I managed to get exactly 43/43 Fitpoints in this week.  I got a new Leslie Sansone vide (more on that in another post) and really like it so far.

Here's to a good week ahead!

My week's stats:

Weigh-in:  -0.8 lbs     Total:  -30.6 lbs.

Saturday Weigh-In ~ 4/14/18

I worked so hard this week at sticking to the Weight Watchers Program!  Even though I really worked the Program, I was still leery last night about weighing in this morning.

I gave myself a bedtime pep-talk.  I basically told myself that as long as there was a loss, I'd be happy.  I knew I had done all I could and it would all depend on how my body responded

Imagine my excited surprise when I got on the scale at the meeting this morning and lost...

4.2 lbs!!!!!!

In one week!

I could not be happier!

So in the last 3 weeks of being back at the full Weight Watcher Program, I've lost 7.8lbs!  So exciting!

I also got my 5 lb charm.  Gotta love some bling :)

My week's stats:

Weigh-in:   -4.2    Total:  -29 lbs.

My Weight Watcher App upped my FitPoints goal to 43 for this week.  Check back next week to see if I make it!

Saturday Weigh-In ~ Weight Watchers ~ 4/7/18

I have decided that I DO want to continue with Saturday Weigh-Ins.

I'm still trying to lose weight and get healthier.  In fact, I recently upped my Weight Watcher membership from Online Only to Meeting and Online.  (More on that in another post.)

So, this morning was my weekly WW meeting.  Bright and early...

This is my third week to be back to meetings.  The first week was my official weigh-in.  The second week I lost a whopping 0.6 lbs.  (So disappointing).  This week I lost:

3 lbs!!

I was so excited!  For like a minute.  Then all the doubts started flooding in.

~I have so far to go...
~What if I quit again...
~What if I have a bad weigh-in next week...

etc., etc., etc!

I had to immediately change my mind set to positive thinking and kick out the negatives.

~I have a plan.
~I'm going to stick to that plan this week.
~Just think about this week.
~Stay on plan today.

If I'm brave enough, I think I'm going to start posting my actual weight.  This would be a big step for me.  Let me know in the comments if you think I should.

My week's stats:

Weigh-in:   -3.0    Total:  -24.8 lbs.

I'm not going to make a whole bunch of excuses, so I'm just basically going to report that I had a loss of 0.2 lbs this week.

I did manage to start exercising on Friday and hope to get into a routine.  My Mom actually exercised with me, so maybe if we can do it together I'll be more consistent.  Getting started is the hardest thing, but staying motivated is even harder!
