In the Kitchen ~ Irish Stew

This week's new-to-me recipe from the Gooseberry Patch "Recipes for Comfort" cookbook is "Irish Stew".

I'm a meat-and-potatoes kinda girls so this stew was right up my alley!

I served it with crescent rolls, a vegetable and a fruit.

This recipe was so easy to make and was so delicious!  It will definitely be made again and again :)

Irish Stew

5 potatoes, peeled and chopped
1 lb ground beef, browned
1 cup water
1/2 cups all purpose flour
2 T Chili powder
1 tsp garlic powder

Place potatoes and beef in a Dutch oven.  Add water and bring to a light boil.

Add remaining ingredients and simmer on low for about 45 minutes.

Makes 4 servings.

Next Saturday I'll be sharing an easy recipe for "Creamed Dried Beef"!

Have a great weekend!

  3. Looks tasty! Be careful reprinting someone else's recipe. Make sure you have their permission. Thanks for sharing at our What's for Dinner party. Can't wait to see what original recipe you'll share with us next week!
