The Greek word for "Christian" is christianos, which means "follower of Christ" and is sometimes rendered "little Christ".
First Peter tells us to "set apart Christ as Lord" and set apart is how to live a holy life in Christ. "Set apart" is translazted from a Greek word hagiazo, which also can be translated as "be holy", "sanctify", or "consecrate".
We are to be holy, sanctified and consecrated to accomplish God's purpose in our daily lives.

"Walking With Women Through the Word" with Wendy Pope.
One Year Chronological Bible in the New Living Translation.
March 6- March 12, 2011
This week was mostly about boundaries and land allotment. Each tribe received land fairly depending on the size of the tribe.
Only the Levites were not given any land because they were set apart as priests. They were given towns spread thoughout all of Israel so there would be a priestly presence in each tribe's land.
Wendy had some great lessons on her blog this week. No matter the subject matter we're reading each day, there is a special lesson to be learned.
