Double Fudge Oreo Crunch Cookies

I found this recipe over at http://www.howsweeteats.com/ .  As soon as I saw "fudge" and "Oreo" I knew I was a must try recipe.

I was soooo right!  These cookies were amazing!

You have to try these.

Double Fudge Oreo Crunch Cookies

1 cup butter, room temperature
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup crushed Oreo cookies

Cream butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla until fluffy.  Add flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt.  Mix until combined.

fold in chocolate chips and crushed Oreos.  Refrigerate doug for 2-4 hours.  When ready to bake, preheat oven to 350, roll into balls or use a scoop to place the dough on the baking sheet.

Bake for 10-12 minutes.  Let cool completely.

*My admissions:  I didn't refrigerate.  Couldn't wait that long!  Also, I baked them for about 14 minutes.  They seemed a bit underdone at 12 minutes.  I don't know if it had anything to do with not refrigerating, but I wouldn't think so.  Keep your eye on the first batch until they are done to your liking and time it.*

You really need to try these cookies.  They are scrumptious.  I shared these with my Wednesday night Prayer and Bible Study Group.  Otherwise, I would have eaten them all.  Definitely not on my "plan".
