Tea Times ~ A Baby and Football ~ 8/18/17

Grab a cup of tea, coffee, hot chocolate or your favorite drink
while I share a few things that made me smile this week :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~My cousin, Steph, (she's more like my little sister) finally had her baby on August 3rd at 4:43am!  Damon Charles weighed 8lbs 11oz and was 21in long.  He is SO SWEET!  I just love holding him and loving on him.  Such a little stinker :)
~Pittsburgh Steeler pre-season football has started!  I was so excited last Thursday because I thought the game was on that night.  When I went to watch it, I could not find it anywhere on any of the channels.  Finally, I decided to look at the schedule to see what channel it was on.  Here it was on FRIDAY night!  I had to wait another whole day to watch Steeler football.  BTW, we won:)
~My oldest daughter, Kaylee, has started her very own blog!  She debated and brainstormed for days as to what name she should use for her blog.  Finally, she decided on Kaylee's Random Ramblings.  I'd love for you to give her some bloggy love :)
~I started a cross-stitch kit and am loving it.  I'm actually almost finished with it and have my next kit already.  The one I'm working on is "Live, Love, Laugh".  I'll post a picture when finished :)
~Kaylee is getting her Senior Picture taken today.   The drape, that is.  You know, the one where the girls have to "drape" a black wrap around them and get the year book picture taken.  I want to get some less formal pictures taken of her soon but haven't decided which photographer to go with yet.  I can't believe my baby is a Senior!
  1. My grade 12 picture was just that a picture. No fancy wrappers, just us rocking up and smiling.
    The graduation pics were optional and most of my class chose not to do them.
    I have my college graduation pictures and managed to dodge the infamous nurse/cap/roses one though.
  3. How fun that Kay is writing a blog. I love it when my friends and family blog with me. BTW I tried 3 times to leave her a message and I wasn't able to do so. I will try again on another day,
    I LOVE cross stitch although I haven't done it for years now. Your enthusiasm is making me yearn to stitch. I look forward to seeing a photo.
    How precious to have a new baby in the family.
    Congrats to your "senior." Time with our kiddos really does fly.
    That was funny about being a day early for your football game. So glad they won after all that.
    Have a good week.
  4. A new baby is always such a joy!!! I bet you are thrilled to be nearby so you can get a "baby-fix" when you need one. :-) I enjoyed cross-stitch so much in my earlier years and should try it again!
  6. Ooh, a new baby to love on! That's the best fave of all!
    Hmmm, I wonder where all my unfinished cross stitching projects are.
    Congratulations on your daughter beginning her senior year!
  7. Good Afternoon Colletta, How wonderful to have a new baby in the family. I would be exactly as you are, enjoying lots of lovely cuddles.
    I do love cross stitch, but do you know something, I haven't stitched for years. I discovered quilting and reconnected with crocheting so I think maybe I should revisit a cross stitch tablecloth which I started years ago and never finished.
    Oh I must tell you, my son-in-law is a Steeler's fan as well and when we visit America my husband always tries to persuade me to go during the football season as he has learnt the rules and can now follow a football game.
    I will pop over and visit Kaylee as it is lovely to encourage new bloggers.
    Have a lovely day today.
    Best Wishes from England.
