Crocheting a one row for every 3 miles (5K) walked to make a "Life-ghan" with Cris.

Total Miles This Week: 7
Total Miles in 2013: 24
Rows allowed: 8
Rows completed: 8
I was just going to use three colors but I wanted it to be happier and more colorful so that I wouldn't get bored while making it. These are the colors I finally decided to use. They are all Red Heart "with Love":
Back Row:
Hot Pink, Bluebell, Daffodil, Violet, Lettuce
Front Row:
Boysenberry, Blue Hawaii, White, Mango
Each row represents 3 miles (5k). I didn't get to use the "Lettuce" yet. I need another 3 miles for that row! What a great motivator, I tell you! It measures approx 5 feet across but I'll be putting a border around the finished product. I like large afghans so that it comfortably snuggles more than one person :)
I'm using an "H" hook to make it a nice, dense and warm pattern. I'm making it a stripy afghan so that I don't have to concentrate much while I'm watching TV :)
I really want to be able to use that last color but it is blustery, cold and snowing today. I'm not sure if I'll get a chance to get out and walk, especially for 3 miles. I need to get my treadmill back off my aunt even if I hate walking on it!

Getting started today :) Hopefully!

ReplyDeleteGlad to see you joining in on Cris' journey. I'm still trying to figure out my project but finally set a deadline - this Sunday. I like your miles afghan - will be a nice blanket when it is all done.
