Please join Rose City Reader and me every Friday to share the first sentence (or so) of the book you are reading, along with your initial thoughts about the sentence, impressions of the book, or anything else the opener inspires. Please remember to include the title of the book and the author's name.

My Current Read:
"Shattered" by Dani Pettrey
The Book Beginning:
"Piper bolted upright, sweat dampening her pj's despite December's chill."
My Thoughts:
I'm just finished book one in this series and am starting this book. I've gotten to know a little bit about Piper and her recklessness so I can't wait to see what happens!

The 56th Page:
"She wanted...She bit her bottom lip with a grimace . This was not the time to be thinking about what she wanted and certainly not the time to be thinking about Landon."
My Thoughts:
I got to know Landon a bit in book one also. I can't wait to get to know him more :) lol
Landon must be something else if she has to chide herself for bad timing on her thoughts.
