Blogging Challege ~ Taking Care of My Health ~ 2/17/2021

This week's topic is:

How I Take Care of My Health:

Here are some things I like to do to take care of my physical, spiritual, emotional and mental health.  I'm not saying I do it perfectly.  Quite the contrary, in fact.  I am trying to get better, though :)

~Schedule out my week in my planner
~Attend Church Services
~Read my Bible daily
~Pray
~Exercise
~Track food intake using the LoseIt! App
~Drink water
~Take meds and vitamins
~Give and get lots of love from my family
~Get some sunshine or at least outside (when possible...)
~Read for pleasure
~Blog as a creative outlet
~Get plenty of sleep

I'm sure there are more, but I think I'll leave it at that for now.

So, how do you take care of YOUR health?

  2. I'm so glad you're including mental health in your post -- IMHO it's possibly more important than physical health! And I think all of us can probably say we're trying to be better at it, whatever "it" is. Life is a journey :-)

  3. Good ideas all. My hubby and I have just had our second round of Covid vaccines and are anxious to get back to in person church services. I think a lot of people forget that the spiritual health is as important as the physical and mental. 4. Great list, especially penciling in time for lots of love and hugs from family. We need more of that in this world. :-)

  5. That sounds like a wonderful set of habits (or aspirations, whichever). At the moment, I'm more in "just get through it" mode but I'm going to have to switch back to more moderated, long-term self-care at some point. I mean, either that or I'll be seriously regretting not keeping up with my cardio as zombies chase me down the street. I wrote about it here: https://nagamakironin.blogspot.com/2021/02/it-snowed-again.html

  7. Living in the desert, I take sunshine for granted. But the power of the sun is an amazing thing. :)

  8. Planning out the week is one of my specialties. I have 6 calendars, and each one has a specific function. One is my subbing/medical apts. calendar. One is for birthdays in the family (husband is 2 of 7 kids--all married, with kids of their own. Lots of bdays to remember!) One is for my daily chores. One is for my book promotions. Etc. I'm the queen of planning! Glad I'm not the only one.

  9. Nurturing your spiritual health so important and so often overlooked when we think about taking care of ourselves.
