Fangs, Fur and Fey. Interesting topic. I don't read very many books that include those three items unless they are of the cuddly pet variety :) Go ahead, call me a chicken...

Aw, I love puppies!! <3
ReplyDeleteWhen I was little,
we raised pekingese. And
since I couldn't pronounce the word
*dog* very well, I got into the habbit of calling them *Nogs* LOL
We had the mama, and three males - one from each of her litters. Years later, when the last one (named Sinbad) died, I was thoroughly heart broken :(
Thank you for the sweet giveaway!! <3

From the time I was little, we have always taken in strays and bottle raised several different animals (kittens, dogs, deer, raccoons, squirrel, etc). I currently have a chihuaha mix that I bottle raised (she is 18 months old) and a bull mastiff/huskey mix that I bottle raised (she is 12 months). They are both spoiled rotten

Right now we have a retired belguim malinois. She used to be a narcotics police dog, and all her commands are in german.
ReplyDeleteWe have a darling black kitty. She apparently really didn't want my husband leave her to check out the other cats at the pound; when he pulled his hand away, she gently reached out and used her paw to put it back on her head.

ReplyDeleteOur last rescued pittie was saved on the day he was scheduled to be euthanized by a high kill shelter. Unfortunately he unexpectedly went to the Rainbow Bridge 3 weeks ago. We were able to give him another 2 1/2 years of life. We recently saved another beautiful pittie. These great dogs have made me fall in love with the bullys. I will always advocate for these pups. Thank you for this great giveaway!

ReplyDeleteOk my first pets name was Muffy and I was 5.....But on to recent! My dog Renesmee just had puppies yesterday ;)
ReplyDeleteI have owned many pets over the years. Both of my choosing, and those who chose me (strays). I've also sheltered others. My current family of pets include my dog named Missy, my two cats, Oreo and Scribbles- both my dog and my Cat Scribbles were strays I took in. Scribbles also came with a litter of 6 kittens at the time. And I kept Oreo, her daughter, whom I couldn't find a home for. And I also have two little hermit crabs which belonged to my brother and his ex gf, and they had decided they no longer wanted them.

ReplyDeleteI've had so many pets. My parents have always been dog lovers so I've normally had at least one dog at a time. I have my own little furry friend now. His name is Bo and he's like my child :)

ReplyDeleteMy favorite pet growing up was a huge cat named Butterscotch. He used to let me dress him up in baby clothes and push him around in a stroller.

My first pet was Kitty. She was a kitten from a litter of cats when I was about 4 yrs old I had her. We kept Simon from the litter and he was a pain...lol. We could no longer have him when my parents divorced, so we gave him up not long after the divorce.

ReplyDeleteWe always had dogs growing up. First we had a black lab named Duchess when I was a baby (don't even remember her). Then we I was about five we got our Labrador retriever, Mickey (my 2 year old brother named him after Mickey Mouse). When he passed away, my parents adopted Jester (Shepard/lab mix), but he died from the Iams dog food disaster, so they got Shadow (another black lab) and then rescued Snowy about a year later. I have had my rescue terrier Puffy for six years now.
ReplyDeleteUmm...never had a pet growing up b/c my dad was afraid of dogs and my mom is a clean freak. We don't have a pet now b/c hubby is afraid of dogs and I'm not much of a cat person. My daughter, on the other hand, LOVES animals.
ReplyDeleteI've seen this book around the blogosphere and it sounds great.
Thanks :)

Luckily I love fur of the cute pet persuasion. I've had dogs my whole life so there is too many to mention. My first special dog is actually still with me 20 years later! She's a chihuahua/dachshund mix and is the little grumpy old lady of the house
