Shadow:

 

I was catching this shot of Laken running down the pier but even more pronounced was the shadow of the railing at sunset.

Keys:

This is one of my sets of keys.  You can see it holds a ton of shopping discount cards and a keychain my brother got me about 15 years ago for my birthday.  Yes, I'm an Aries.

Smile:

Smile for me.  It sounds so simple but in reality it took 4 tries to get one that she wasn't moving around, wiggling, jiggling and dancing.

Unedited:

I usually don't edit too many of my pictures.  They kinda are what they are and you can probably tell.  So what to do for this theme?  I looked around and cracked up when I saw this on the counter.  Can you say "redneck flower vase"?

Fish:

We spent Saturday evening at the lake again and once the girls found out I needed a picture of a fish it was ON!  I finally had to say no more.  I have enough.  I chose this picture because it was the very first time Kaylee actually held a fish.  You can tell by the smile/grimace :)

Scavenger Hunt Sunday ~ 4/22/12

For this scavenger hunt, I used pictures that I took while we were at Shawnee Lake for an evening of fishing.

Yellow:

I'm not one of the people who hate dandelions popping up everywhere.  In fact, I get excited when I spot my first denelion of the year!

Something That Makes/Made You Smile:

My girls are 10 and 5.  They fight constantly!  Constantly!  So to see them standing side-by-side getting along and actually talking to each other made me smile :)

Ancient or Antique:

This is my Dad.  hehe.  I jokingly told him that I was going to use a picture of him for this item.  So, just to mess with him a little, I did!  He's the best Dad EVER.  Love him to bits!

Splash:

I told the girls that I needed a picture of a splash.  They then decided to put their rain/fishing boots to good use and try to get a good splash going.  Here they are pretending that they are falling backward into the water.  At one point I actually thought Kaylee was going to.  She almost lost her balance but managed to stay upright.  Darn.  That would have been a good picture!

In the Sun:

One of last pictures I took of the evening was this shot of the sun reflecting on the water.  I love to watch the water change colors with the sky.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday ~ 4/15/12

Simple:

Pretty simple, right?  I thought so.  Although, my 2 does sort of look like a Z :)  hehe

Grain:

With grain, my mind went to fields of wheat ready to harvest.  But, alas, I don't have any of those.  So I made due with some "Whole Grain Oatmeal".  I mostly use Oatmeal for desserts and goodies so to me:  Yummy!

Transportation:

We don't get to travel very much other than our once-a-year vacation.  So the rest of the year, I use books to transport me anywhere from the Grand Canyon to Africa.  Where ever I want to go, a good book can take me there.

Stitch:

I'm a SAHM.  (Stay-at-home-mom, for those who don't know).  To make some money to help out with household needs and also for fun activities, I have an Etsy shop.  You can see the button for my shop at the top right of my sidebar.  Most of my items are crochet and sewn.  So, I see lots and lots of stitches each and every day.  But they are enjoyable stitches :)

Bubbles:

 

As you may know, we have two daughters.  One of them is 5 years old.  To get her anywhere NEAR the tub and a bath, Princess Bubbles are a must.  Every once in a whie, the bubbles might be Hello Kitty.  But always bubbles there must be!

NEW:

Is there anything that feels more wonderful than sinking your toes into some brand new sand?  Every Spring we add some new sand to the kids' sandbox.  Even I have to squish my toes in once or twice :)

LIFE:

My "nephew", Baby Dex, just minutes after taking his very first breath of life.  A new baby in the family is such an inspiration for the future.  To think about what God planned for his life just boggles my mind.

FRAGRANT:

I love walking outside and smelling flowers in the air.  It is as if nature is welcoming us and urging us to once again come outside.  Hibernation is over.

PINK:

This is "Puppy" sitting in her place of honor on my oldest daughter's bed.  Not a night goes by that she is not cuddled in my daughter's arms.  Heaven forbid that she is forgotten on a sleep-over night!  Undoubtedly, we'll get a call to bring Puppy or there will be no sleep.

OBVIOUS:

My whole side of the extended family has light eyes.  Either green or blue or even a mixture of the two.  Growing up, I NEVER dreamed I'd have brown-eyed babies.  However, it is obvious that my girls have inherited their father's chocolate brown eyes.  Now, I wouldn't have it any other way :)
