Tea Time ~ 6/2/2022

~We went to the theater Friday afternoon to see the move "Top Gun Maverick".  While I'm not a huge fan of Tom Cruise (personally), we LOVED this movie!  It was so good.  I even think it might have been better than the original "Top Gun".  Yep, I said it :)

~Saturday, we went to a local-ish amusement park called Delgrosso's.  My brother and sister-in-law got us all season passes for Christmas!  It was only about 66F, so the water park section was bare and it actually wasn't as busy at the ride's as I thought it would be for Opening Weekend.

Afterwards,we stopped by the mall and Laken got her ears pierced.  She's been wanting her second piercing for a while now and we promised that if she got her school work done on time, she could get them.  She is one happy camper :)

~Sunday we had a graduation party to go to at Shawnee (our local state park).  It started at 4pm but we decided to go up right after morning Church to spend some time together by the lake.  It was such a gorgeous day, weekend really!

~The girls did some tie-dyeing on Memorial Day (I'm actually wearing my new shirt right now ;)  They had each gotten a large kit of tie-dye supplies for Easter and finally had some time to spend creating :)

~I promised last week that I would get some pictures of Kaylee's house with her flowers.  Here they are :)

How was your week?  What's new with you?

Tea Time ~ Summer Vacation and 50th Birthdays ~ 6/8/18

~First week of Summer Vacation!!!  Whoohooo!!!  It was so exciting NOT to have to get up early and get the girls off to school on Monday morning.  I still want to stay in the habit of getting up fairly early and heading out for a walk before it gets too hot.  So far, so good :)

~Last week I told you how we had three little kittens.  Well, now we have eight little kittens.  Our other mama cat had five little ones.  The two mamas have decided to co-parent the kittens and put them all together.  So cute!

~I made Laken a chart of jobs to do each day BEFORE she's allowed to get on electronics.  The jobs are things like:  get a shower, read, and practice her flute.  We set it up so that she could mark each day off with a dry erase marker.  For the first week, she's been doing very well.  We'll see how long it lasts...

~Today, the girls and I made the trip to Delgrosso's Amusement Park to use our season passes.  We rode a few rides but when it was time to head to the Water Park, we just weren't feeling it.  It has been so cold the past few days that we knew the water would be freezing.  Instead we went shopping BECAUSE...

~Tomorrow is The Hubby's 50th Birthday!  He's very laid back about birthdays and doesn't think it is a big deal.  I, however, think it is a big deal and want to celebrate!  Who is with me??

How was your week?

~I'm back from what ended up being a short blogging break!  I just enjoy blogging too much to let it go completely :)

~Big, big news!  Kaylee graduated from High School last night!  Whoohoo!  We did it!  lol  I'm super proud of my oldest baby girl.  She got all A's on her last report card and received the "HOPE Award" as well as the Music Award.  Way to go, Kay!

~The girls let me get one last "Last Day of School" picture.  And they are actually looking like they love each other!  I'll enjoy the small accomplishments :)

~We have kittens!  Raspberry, the mama cat, finally had her babies.  There are three little kittens and they are adorable :)  I thought I had a picture but I don't.  I'll have to add one later.

~We got Season Passes to Delgrosso's Park!  It is about an hour away from our house but they have an area of rides and then what is called "Laguna Splash" a small water park.  We look forward to spending many lazy Summer days there :)  They had a small petting zoo on opening day and the Hubby and the girls loved playing with the baby goats.  Of course, they now want one :)

How was your week?

P.S.  Check out the tab at the top of my page to see where I party.
