New Apron: Bright Pink Background Floral with Polka Dots

I really love how this apron turned out. 

I knew when I bought these fabrics that they would like great together, but the finished product was even better than I expected.

The flowers, the butterflies and polka dots are so springy.  Don't you just love it?

Spring Aprons, Cherries and Hydrangeas!

I have so much fun fabric shopping for aprons.  I love picking out coordinating fabrics and then watching them transform as I craft them together.  I have a hard time waiting for them to get finished so I can see the final product.

But I enjoy the process as well.  Seeing as each step brings the fabric that much closer to being a beautiful, useful apron.  I enjoy thinking of who will wear that apron and hope they get as much enjoyment wearing it as I do crafting it.

This week I've been thinking Spring and it reflected in the fabrics I chose to work with this week.

I think this is my favorite one.  These cherries are just too cute and the cherry on white accent just sets off the main fabric perfectly.

When I bought this fabric, I thought the pink and purple hydrangeas were so pretty and the pink lattice accent was perfect as a coordinate.

This fabric is a patchwork of purple hydrandeas and green butterflies.  There are some blues thrown in and some lattice patchwork also.  I picked a green lattice for the accents.

Shawls: Ambrosia, Barley and Painted Desert

St. Patrick's Day Aprons

I made these two St. Patrick's aprons over the weekend and they are now listed in my store.

The first apron is just adorable.  It has shamrocks, lady bugs, yellow flowers and is a bit glittery.   Click HERE to go directly to the listing.

The accent fabric is shamrocks on white.  Here's a close-up.

 The accent fabric is a varied shade of green that really sets off the main fabric pattern.

I can't wait to get into my fabric stash I've been collecting for aprons.  Look for more in the near future.  I have some really pretty spring aprons planned.

Child's Reglious Tote

I had made a few of these totes around Easter and sold some in my store.  Last week a got an order for 2 more and realized "DUH' they are definitely a Christmas tote also!

"Quartz" Shawl

This is my latest completed shawl. 

I ised Lionbrand Homespun Yarn in "Quartz".  It has a mixture of pinks, grays, and purples.

I love the soft blend of colors throughout this shawl.

White Bridal or Prayer Shawl

I used Caron Simply Soft Yarn in White to make this Bridal/Prayer Shawl.  I went a little crazy when I started it and chained more than I had thought.

It measures Approx. 18" X 96".  I told ya!  I went a little crazy!  Next time I won't make it as long.

This shawl took me many an evening of TV watching to complete.  Here's a close-up of the pattern.

I think it is beautiful and perfect for a fall wedding.

Roses and Script Tote

I've had this fabric for a while.  When I saw it I knew I wanted to make something with it so I bought some on a whim.

I decided to make a tote bag.  It is large with a batting liner and the handles are padded for comfort.  I love a tote bag that almost anything will fit into.

I put the pockets on the inside of this tote because I didn't want to cover up any of the gorgeous patterned fabric.

Thanksgiving Apron with Ruffle

I was looking for some fall/Thanksgiving fabric to make an apron with I found this pumkin/leaf/acorn fabric.  I fell in love the minute I saw it.

I had fun putting this apron together.  I love how the green accents really set off the pattern on the fabric.  (wouldn't it be nice to be shaped this this dress form?)

I made two of these aprons.  They are basically the same, but the second time around I tweaked some of the techniques.
