Blogging Challenge ~ Favorite Book Genre and Why ~ 2/16/2022


This week's topic is:  

Favorite Book Genre and Why:

This is a hard question!

I love to read a variety of books so that I don't get bored with the same genre all the time.  I'm very much a mood reader and like to mix things up.

That being said, it is very hard for me to pick just one genre!  So, here a "few" of my favorites:

~Regency
~Mystery/Suspense
~Romance
~Historical

One thing I don't particularly like to read is a book that is overly graphic.

What is YOUR favorite book genre and why?

    I enjoy romance as well - from contemporary to historical to Christian to paranormal. I also like fantasy and non-fiction, especially memoir.

      I'm not that into paranormal. I'm looking forward to reading a memoir with our book club :)

    I read the Duke and I by Joanna Quinn? I think that's Regency. Anyway, it was okay. Mostly read SF/F and thriller and westerns. My post is up as well! Happy reading.

      Yes, "The Duke and I" is Regency Romance. I enjoyed reading it years ago when it first was published. It seems like we're quite the opposites in reading selections :)

    Yes! I pick new books depending very much on my mood. My TBR pile isn't a To Do list; it's more like a wine cellar, with all sorts of lovely treasures that I can pull out to suit the occasion!

      Yes, I'm definitely a mood reader. That is one reason I don't accept books in return for a review anymore. I found that I was reading what I didn't feel like reading just because a review was due...

      Sometimes I'm in the mood for a simple romance, but I love when it is mixed with suspense or history. Thanks for stopping by!

    I do love historicals - I like to read around each book and find out more about the period.
