Hello, and Happy Monday!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
It felt so odd to type out 2-0-2-1.
I pray for only good things to come to each and every one of you this year!
The weather outside is:
Icy. We had an ice storm on New Year's Day and more ice Sunday afternoon. I've yet to look at what this week's forecast is to be.
On today's to-do list:
We're getting back on a schedule starting today. They hubby is back to work as is Kaylee. Laken's virtual schooling starts back up today as well. Per usual, a grocery trip is on the plan.
Happening this week:
I'm excited to be starting The One Year Chronological Bible. It takes about 15 minutes a day (I'm a fast reader so it doesn't take quite that long for me). We started a new Ladies Bible Study at Church learning about the Parables of Jesus.
The Nitro has to go in the shop on Wednesday to have something or other replaced. A sensor of some sort.
Currently reading:
I want to incorporate some just-for-fun fictional reading back into my daily scheduled as well. I miss my reading time and writing book reviews here on the blog. I'm setting my goal for at least 26 books in 2021. I'm starting off the year with "To Catch A Suitor" by Sarah Adams.
On the TV:
The Peanut Butter Falcon - Have you watched this movie? It was so good! I think we watched it on Hulu. If you watched it, what did you think?
Instant Family - This was another Hulu watch. We really enjoyed watching it as a family. I think there was something for all of us to learn!
The Princess Bride - I adore this movie! It is the only Mel Brooks movie that I can stand to watch, so when Laken (who had never watched it) put it on I was happy :)
{Speaking of Hulu, we upgraded our Disney+ package to include Hulu and ESPN. Between cable (which nothing is ever on!), Disney+, Hulu, and HBO Max we should be set for the long winter ahead, at least for TV watching time.}
Listening to:
I featured "Who You Are To Me" by Chris Tomlin ft. Lady A. for Songs on Sunday.
On the menu week:
Monday ~ Spaghetti, garlic bread
Tuesday ~ Fish, homemade fries
Wednesday ~ Ham, Fried Potatoes
Thursday ~ Steak, Noodles
Friday ~ Pizza with sausage and mushrooms
Saturday ~ Chicken Breast Patties, seasoned fries
Sunday ~ Potluck at Church
In the Craft Basket:
I'm getting ready to start working on a Navy Prayer Shawl. I have the Navy and then a Black Prayer Shawl to make and I'm ready to move on to something different. Maybe a baby blanket.
Picture From the Camera:
Kaylee bought Lilah a new bed. She hasn't moved off it since :)
Memory Verse
"And working together with Him, we also urge you not to receive the grace of God in vain" 1 Corinthians 6:1
Grace- unearned, undeserved, unmerited favor of God that we cannot provide for ourselves.
Have a great Monday!
Colletta
I'd love for you to stop by and give THE SHOP some love!
The dog looks comfy :) My husband watched Peanut Butter Falcon but I've not seen it. I did love Instant Family and of course, Princess Bride is a classic. Hope you have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteYou must watch Peanut Butter Falcon! It was so good!
DeleteI watched the Peanut Butter Falcon a few months ago. It popped up and I had no idea what it was, but what a pleasant surprise. It was so good! I keep trying to get my hubby to watch it, but he's resisted so far. I just watched The Princess Bride on Saturday. It's the first time I've seen it in years. Gosh, it is still a delightful movie. We are having snow this afternoon in our part of PA. Blech...but it is January in the ridges. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI knew that you lived close to me. We haven't had snow here today though. Thanks for stopping by :)
DeleteIt all sounds cozy and fun at your house. I have never seen the Princess Bride all the way through. I live in a house full of men (there used to be more than there are here now), and I don't get to watch too many "girl movies", so I gave up a long time ago. Hubby said he'd get me my own TV, but I don't want to sit and watch TV by myself. LOL. Thank you for making prayer shawls. They are a wonderful ministry to those who need prayer. Have a blessed week and a Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and commenting :) Happy New Year!
DeleteI agree 2021 feels so weird to see. Sounds like fun cozy time at your home. Princess Bride is an all time favorite! I need to watch that again, it's been ages. Blessings on this new year and your week ahead. xo
ReplyDeleteWe had a great holiday! Blessings to you as well :)
DeleteHad to go look back at my post to be sure I had written 2021! :)
ReplyDeleteHave not seen those movies yet. Can't wait to see pictures of your prayer shawls.
Have a great week
You have to watch Peanut Butter Falcon if none other! It was amazing :)
