Happy Homemaker Monday ~ 1/25/16

Come join Diary of a SAHM for Happy Homemaker Monday.

The weather outside is::::

 Wintery!

On the breakfast plate this morning::::

Special K Cinnamon Pecan Cereal

As I look outside my window:::

I see 3 feet of snow in my yard!  The fence surrounding our yard is now invisible!  I'm just praying that it doesn't melt too fast and cause flooding.

As I look around the house::::

I see a mess!  Everyone being home all weekend has taken its toll.  Board games are everywhere.  This is a reminder of good quality family time :)

On today's to do list::::

  At the time I'm writing this, I don't know yet whether the girls are having school today.  If they don't, it will be another day at home.  If they do have school, then it will be off to the gym.

Happening this week::::

Monday.....Gym, start laundry.
Tuesday....Cleaning Day, Cheer.
Wednesday....  Gym and Fold/Put Away Laundry, Prayer Meeting
Thursday.....Bills, Menu and Grocery List, Cheer in the evening.
Friday....Gym, groceries, virtual Tea Party with some friends.
Saturday....Clean Bedrooms, Schedule for following week and have family time.

I'm all caught up with my books for review, so I'm reading Where Wildflowers Bloom from my book shelf!  So far, it is very good and has great potential :)

On the TV today::::

Amazingly, we watched no TV this weekend!  I have so many shows to catch up on that I don't know if I even want to try.  I do want to watch Hallmark's "Unleashing Mr. Darcy".  Has anyone watched it yet?
On the menu this week::::

Monday - Spaghetti, Garlic Bread, Broccoli
Tuesday - Baked Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Peas
Wednesday - Dinner at my brother's.
Thursday - Pizza
Friday - Kielbalsa, Fried Potatoes, Corn
Saturday - Scrambled Eggs, Bacon, Toast
Sunday - Dinner at Church (Not sure what I'm taking yet)

What I am creating at the moment::::

I'm still very slowly working on my Beautiful Shells Afghan for the Family Room.

The second block for the Mooglyblog.com CAL came out on Thursday.  Here's mine:

  4. I want to learn to crochet granny squares. You wouldn't happen to know of any YouTube videos to recommend, would you? Also, I like the way you sum up what's going on in your home in a single post like this. I just might have to do something similar on my blog: LifeWithDee.com

    Have a great week!

  7. Thanks for the visit at my site.... enjoyed my time here... I ahve to agree your crocheting is very nice indeed.... I never could get into it that well... I am not a counter or something... I actually saw the Darcy movie and didnt think it was that good... remakes of the classics have to be really something for me, I guess. Have a great and week, and God bless!

  8. Thanks for stopping by my blog - it was lovely to meet you:)))

    It sounds very cold and snowy where you are - I am in Australia where it is summer and quite warm. Love your afghan, it looks like it will be very cosy :)

  17. You must be down "south"...That last storm was a big one! It seems odd that us in Maine didn't get a single flake from it! I'm not complaining. LOL I'm sure there's more snow ahead for us, but I'm loving the less snowy winter this season.

  23. Thanks for stopping my Hope Whispers. My house is always a mess after the weekends. Don't know why because we are usually gone for most of it! The menu sounded like it was just right for a cold snowy week.
