Peanutty Cookie Bars

Cookie # 9 in:

I decided to make these cookies into bars and took them to dinner at my brother's house.  The original name was Peanutty Clusters.

I mixed the dough up and put it in the pan but waited until we got to my brother's to stick it in the oven.  I wanted to share the fresh out of the oven sensation.  I brought Cake Batter ice-cream along, too!

I didn't have my camera to take a picture but think Ruby Tuesday's Blondie without the chocolate chips (which might make it into this recipe next time.)

Peanutty Cookie Bars

1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup party peanuts
1 1/2 cups flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup butterscotch-flavored baking chips
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1 egg
Several Tablespoons sugar

Preheat oven to 375.

Combine all dry ingredients in a large bowl.

Add softened butter, peanut butter, and egg.  Thoroughly mix.

Spread in a 8X8 cake pan and sprinkly with sugar.

Bake approximately 30 minutes.  (I didn't time this one, so be careful and keep an eye on it).  Be careful not to overbake.

Remove from oven and serve warm with ice-cream.

Results

Warm peanut buttery, butterscotchy goodness along-side smooth, melty ice-cream...

This was so yummy!!  I mean, I cannot express how good this was.  Delicious!!  It was as good as Ruby Tuesday's Blondie if not better.  Yum!  Yum! Yum!!!

This is a must try!  Can you tell I liked it?

Let me know if you try these out and if you think they were as great as I did.
