Family Time ~ Making Mimi's Peanut Butter Pie ~ 1/10/17

It all started one day over Christmas Break.

The hubby was on a mission to find his mother's (Mimi) Peanut Butter Pie recipe.  After searching through all her old recipes, it was finally found in all its hand-written glory!  Don't you just love old recipes that show character and love?

This was the weekend that we finally had all the ingredients and the time was set apart to make:  Mimi's Peanut Butter Pie.

First, though, everyone had to have their apron on!  Even if the hubby was a bit unwilling at first...  He's a good sport :)

I stood back and watched them interpret the recipe and mix the ingredients.  It was a special time of remembering Mimi.

My girls could not be any different, could they?  Kaylee's apron is Sugar Skulls and Laken's is Hello Kitty!  Look at that cheesy smile on Laken's face.  She LOVES baking and spending time with her sister is always a plus.

And....The final product!  A very delicious Peanut Butter Pie in a Graham Cracker Crust.

Mimi's Peanut Butter Pie

1/3 cup peanut butter
3 oz. cream cheese
1/2 cup 10X sugar (Powdered Sugar)

Mix together.

Add 8 oz Cool Whip

Mix Again.

Put in Pie Shell / Graham Cracker crust preferred.

Chill for 1 hour.

Do you have any recipes that have been passed down in your family?  I'd love to hear about them!

Please leave a comment with a link so I can return the visit!

  2. Aw, what a fun family time! I always wish I had gotten my memere's recipe for macaroni and cheese before she passed away. I was the only one in the family who enjoyed it and she'd always invite me over when she was making it.
