It's Monday! What Are You Reading? ~ 9/16/19

It's Monday!  What Are You Reading? is hosted by Kathryn at Book Date.  It is a place to share what you've read, what you are reading and what you are about to read.

 In Life

Life has been pretty busy lately.

Laken has had either volleyball games or practice every day this past week including a day-long tournament on Saturday.  It was so much fun watching these young 7th graders learning the game of volleyball.  I love to watch as they mature.

Sunday afternoon was Youth Day at Church.  From 1pm to 5pm was all about bouncy house, waterslide and games.  We were worried that it wouldn't warm up enough for the waterslide (it was huge) but the day couldn't have been any nicer.  We had perfect weather!

Now:

Onto the books!

What I Read Last Week:

This was the first book I've read by this author but it will NOT be my last.  It was AMAZING!  The review for this book will post Tuesday!

What I'm Reading Now:

I like to alternate historical and contemporary reads.  Historical will be up next with a continuation of the Westward Wind Series.

What's Up Next?:

Up next will probably be a book I featured on "Books from the Backlog" a few weeks ago.  "By Your Side" by Candace Calvert is the first book in the Crisis Team Series.

  2. I am still reading the same book that I have been on for two weeks, I am getting a little concerned that I will never finish it.

  3. I'm glad the weather was good for the youth event at your church. It sounds like things were perfect.

It's so much fun watching our young people learn a sport. There's so much more to it than just playing ball.

    Enjoy your books this week!

  4. I'm glad the weather was good for using a waterslide. It would have been too cold and rainy here. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
