Tea Time ~ Groundhog Baby and Devotions ~ 2/3/17

Grab a cup of tea, coffee, hot chocolate or your favorite drink
while I share a few things that made me smile this week :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This week was much better than last!  I even had a hard time narrowing down my smiles this week :)
~For the girls' reward for such good grades, we went to see "A Dog's Purpose".  It.  Was.  Wonderful!  I am so glad we went, even though I sobbed.  (Don't worry!  I smiled a lot, too!)  You can read my review HERE.
~Monday was the 100th Day of School for my girls.  (We're counting down the days now.  I love summer as much as they do!)  The Elementary students were to dress up as if they were 100 years old.  With some help from Mamaw, we pulled off the look Laken was going for.  What made it even funnier was that I could NOT get a picture of her without her eyes closing :)
 ~My Church got us calendars that include a Daily Reading Plan to read the Bible through in a year.  Every year, I make a goal to read daily but usually get so far behind that I give up.  However, this year, I'm doing pretty well!  I made it through January completely up-to-date on my reading :)
 ~Finishing up January means that I got to flip my calendar!  It is the little things sometimes that excite me.  Especially this time of year.  Flipping the calendar to February means that we're that much closer to Spring :)  Isn't it pretty?
~I saved the best for last!  Thursday was my baby little Groundhog Baby's 10th birthday!  I really can't believe that it has been 10 years since I first laid my eyes on her precious face :)  Doug (Daddy)is working 2nd shift this week so we're having Laken's "official" birthday dinner and cake on Saturday.  But, we couldn't let the actual day go by without letting her blow out a candle :)  Happy Birthday, Laken!!!!
  8. I had not heard of A Dog's Purpose - it sounds interesting.
    I do that with photos, too - tend to have my eyes closed in many of them.
    Good for you for staying with your Bible reading plan! I love reading the Bible through - it keeps us balanced, helps us see things in context, brings us to passages we might miss otherwise.
    I love turning the calendar to a new month, too - and being that much closer to spring!
    Happy birthday to Laken!
  14. Good that you had lots of smiles this week and good grades at school and kids birthdays would do it for me too! Flipping your calendar into February means we are turning up the heat to our hottest month here in Australia and in Thailand towards the worst months for humidity in March. Glad I can stay cool checking in with you!
