Friday Fragments ~ 5/10/13

Mommy's Idea

Five things that made me smile this week :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1.  I went to the hair salon and got my hair done!  This is one of my favorite things to do :)
2.  Hanging clothes out on the line for the first time in my married life.  I forgot how much I enjoy being outside doing this :)
3.  Watching my 6 year old play ball in the yard  :)
4.  Switching to a new TV system that actually works!  No more blacking out AND we can record 5 shows at a time :)
5.  Signing the girls up for Summer Camp!  We've decided that the girls will NOT be allowed to sleep and sit around all day this summer :)
What made you smile this week?
  1. I miss hanging clothes outside too. My mom used to do that when I was growing up. I think camp is aa wonderful thing for kids of all ages. I went every summer and it was an opportunity to try things you wouldn't ordinarily get to try...a real confidence booster and where I learned to sail, canoe, ride a horse, and shoot a bow and arrow. I made great friends there I'm still in touch with...I hope they love it! Happy Mother's Day!
  2. I love getting my hair done! I'm letting mine grow right now so I miss the salon! :(
    I can't say I miss hanging clothes on the line. As a child we took turns hanging clothes and there were a lot of us, so there were a lot of clothes!
    I hope your girls enjoy camp.....and how fun to watch your son play ball.
    I get so mad at our tv company....a good storm and it's out!
  3. Those are some great things to smile about! :) If we didn't live on such a busy road that produces so much yucky road dirt (black road dust/dirt no less), I'd love to hang laundry to get that fresh breeze mode going. :) And I love getting my hair done - it's so relaxing! And wait - what is this new mysterious TV system that allows you to record five shows at once?! That's a system I need! :)
    Have a great weekend and Happy Mother's Day! :)
  4. I think summer camp was one of the better choices we made for our girls in their growing up years.
