Book Review: "LFYI Revenge, Ohio" by Lisa Harris

Love Finds You in Revenge, Ohio

Book Description:

The only thing worse than being a spinster is being a twicejilted spinster. At twentyseven, Catherine Morgan is hardly an old maid. But shes given up on marriage and instead works as the first telephone operator in the small town of Revenge, Ohio. Bound by a promise to care for her three sisters until they marry, shell do anything it takes to keep them safe.

But Sheriff Corbin Hunter stands in her way. He has evidence that her sisters fiance is really an infamous bank robber and Catherine finds herself torn between saving her sisters heart and losing hers to the man who jilted her nine years ago. Corbin has always regretted walking away from Catherine but revenge can be stronger than love.

Will Corbins vow for vengeance cause him to lose her a second time?

My Thoughts:

This was one of my favorite LFYI's.  I liked the characters, the setting, the plot, the dialogue.  It was very well written.

I've always been a bit parital to the "they were in love years ago but something happpened and they are now seeing each other for the first time in years" theme.  I guess I'm a hopeless romantic.  I love when they see each other for the first time after the passed years and their reactions to each other.

I especially like if it starts out that they now hate each other but ever-so-slowly their love is rekindled even though they fight it will all their effort.  Ahhh.  So romantic.....

But.   Yes, but.  One of my major pet peeves is when the cover doesn't match the descriptions in the book.  This was a small one yet very blatant to me.

On the cover of the book Catherine clearly has brown eyes.  Yes?

Well, in the book it describes that one of the main reasons Corbin wanted to "court " her was to see if her eyes were actually green or blue because they were a mixture of the two.  Hmmmm?  Definitely not a brown-eyed girl.

I know, very piddly, but again it is just a pet peeve.

In case you've forgotten, though, let me remind you that I love, love, loved this book.  Definitely recommend it!

A great read!
